Geezum, my neighbors are perfect angels compared to some of these! But I will rant about them anyway.

At my dad's house: Actually, we don't really have any annoying neighbors, except this one kid who beats little kids up and tried to set off fireworks or something in the woods in MY backyard. UM, WHAT. NO. You could have burned MY house down! Go burn your OWN house down, little turd muffin! DX

At my mom's house: Well, we used to have this guy who lived behind us who was super mean. Whenever someone got a dog, he'd go to their house and tell them that if their dog came into his yard he would not hesitate to shoot the dog. In my state, it's legal to shoot a dog that's tresspassing off-leash in your yard, even if it's not doing anything. Which is unfortunate, as I think it should only be legal to shoot a dog on your property if there is a problem. Like my mom's boyfriend in college, he shot his neighbor's dog when it came into his yard, but only because it was, quite literally, killing my mom's dog. You'd think that no decent person would actually shoot a dog in his yard that was just walking by, but nope. Of course, this guy wasn't a decent person. He'd clean his gun outside, when people were out in their yards to see, and he cleaned it WAY more often than any gun needs to be cleaned, and common, do it in your house! It really pissed off my mom when my cousins and I were playing on the playset with my dog and he came out and cleaned his gun while just STARING at us. Plus, his wife just let their dog walk wherever it wanted, other people's yard and all. Not to mention, when they went to the neighborhood pool, he's always wear a really small spedo and his wife wore a thong... *shudder* They implemented rules against that as soon as they moved.

Then there's this guy who lives next to the neighborhood pool and basketball court, and he yells at kids when they go into his yard to get basketballs that bounced into it. And when they ask him if they can, he doesn't let them. The basketball court was there YEARS before he moved in. Also, he sits on his driveway and yells at people that speed. That, I can understand though, because before he and his wife moved here, their eight-year-old kid was hit and killed by a speeding driver. And I do understand how that could make a person so, so bitter, but I still think he should handle the occasional stray basketball with a bit more grace. ...Wow, I sound heartless. I do feel sorry for this guy and try to understand why he is how he is, though! Really!

Then there's just lots of brat kids who are rude to me and other people. And they pick fights and make a general rukus. One stole fireworks from us once. And there's these teenagers that live on the corner, and they NEVER mow their grass and they speed up and down the street with no concern for the countless kids that play there.

Occasionally, our nextdoor neighbor has parties that are really loud and I can't sleep. It's not often, but boy, it is annoying when it does happen. There have been times I wasn't even able to read in my room because they were so loud. e_e

And of course, the crazy really right-wing religious nuts who live across the way. I have no problems with people who are religious, people who are conservative, or who are religious conservatives. I mean, good for you if you're any of those things! I am not religious myself, but I think it is an admirable thing to be so, it takes dedication! And while I am quite liberal, if you are conservative, great! Opinions are wonderful things, do flaunt yours and take pride in it! No, my issue with them is that they are the kind of people that are condecending to other based on their religion, and take great pleasure from explaining just why everyone who does not go to their church is going to hell. They have NO tolerance for religions besides their own, gays, and thinking outside the box. They aren't racists, at least? Well, they aren't as far as I know. It is a bit hypocritical of me to rant about how intolerant they are when I am so intolerant of them, but that's the thing: I'm quite tolerant of anything except intolerance. Which sort of defeats the purpose, but I'm getting off on a tangent here.

And, this is no one person's fault, but everyone's, our neighborhood is like high school for grown ups. Dramaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Lathrine- Ah, my neighborhood is chalk full of those annoying children who are awful little demons, but their parents think they can do no wrong. e_e I hates them and their stupid, full of BS parents. Also, apartments suck. DX I cannot do apartments, call me spoiled, but I really do not like them. My dad lived in one when he and my mom first got divorced, and I HATED going there. I didn't see why I should have to: it was small, it smelled awful, I had to share a room with my sister, we couldn't bring the dog over even though dogs were allowed because the lease was too short or some stupid reason, I didn't have any of my stuff there, we couldn't play much of anything for fear of disturbing others, and there was nothing to do except deal with stuck-up old people; all this when I had a perfectly fine house with my mom in it ten minutes away, and my dad was the one who wanted the divorce in the first place. I would fight with him all the time over not wanting to go but him insisting I come. I still do every now and again, not NEARLY as often, and that's partly becaused I've had years to get used to going back and fourth, and partly because he has a house now.

The kids of my neighbors across the street scare me. They make small fires in the garage and throw live lizards on it. We call them Satan's Spawn.

I've never had neighbors that were that bad.
Yet.
I still haven't moved out on my own yet.
>->

But, I think you were absolutely right to call the police.
I would have called them the second or third time the neighbors got crazy like that; you seem much more tolerant than me. Hahaha.
But, yeah, I'd talk to...the landlord?
If that's what it is.
And if they don't fix it, I'd just keep calling the police.
I don't see why the police didn't take care of it the first time.

But, hopefully, your neighbors will learn that they'll have the cops to deal with if they keep up their act, and stop, or at least take it out of the apartments.
