How was your first day? Get syllabi and stuff? NAKED PERSON?! I must admit I never got to take any of those life drawing classes or anything T_T I bet it woulda been fun. Although really awkward for me, I'm such a prude. ^_^'

And I bet we'd all love to know your actual schedule! XD What other classes do you have? Man, that's so exciting, I remember my first week of college... it was fun and intimidating.

The first day was great! But I got home kinda late so I didn't really have time for much. I think I'm over a naked person after seeing HUGE pictures of a large penis and a spread vagina today. The guy's gaping mouth and weird staring really threw me off. He was sitting next to me, and the screen was in front of us, but we were supposed to be looking to the side for something, but he was still looking at the screen.. anyway! Schedule!

Life Drawing I: 8:00 am- 3:00 pm

Tuesday
Form and Space I: 8:00am- 11:00 am
Introduction to Visual Culture: 12:30-3:15

Wednesday
Composition and Critical Thought: 3:45 pm- 6:30 pm

Thursday
Principles of Design: 8:00 am- 3:30 pm

Friday
Drawing and Composition I: 8:00 am- 11:00 am
Cultural Studies: 12:00 pm- 2:45 pm

The two things I don't like are:
1. I have to carry my portfolio every day
2. I'll come back really late on Wednesday, so there's hardly any time to prepare for Thursday before I have to go to sleep.
3. The bus rides for Wednesday are longer to and from, because the bus doesn't run at the appropriate times (it only runs during rush hour). I MIGHT be able to ride it from school to my house, but if not, I have to take the longer way. Ugh. Ah well. At least it's only one day, and that's the shortest school day I have~

Although I still REALLY wish I could afford the dorms...

Haha, yup! But I only get each class once a week, so I can understand. Plus we get reasonable breaks.

Yup~ I like that because that means I always get about a week for the smaller assignments, and at the very least, the weekend to get everything done (not that I plan on leaving everything for the weekend..

I love long classes, let you really get into what you're working on. I do not envy you your commute though. I hate it when buses don't run at the right time! I live(d) in a crummy little town, so if I couldn't catch the train (which was pretty much always the case since it runs at THE most inconvenient times) I had to take a bus to a city 30 minutes away from home to get picked up.

Wednesdays are like.. the worst bus days ever, because the bus I want isn't running when I leave or when I come back. It runs all the other four days, though. I just hate wednesdays bus-wise, but getting up later sure is nice~

My last quarter of school, it was impossible to take a bus home, so my dad or Will got to drive up to get me every week. yaaay waste of gas.
XD how was school today? Wow, so weird to think i don't have to go back this year... I am lacking a giant deadline to have fun in!!! O_O!

@ Steffie | It was pretty good. The teacher let us out of class early, and I actually caught the bus that stops running right when class is supposed to end~ Maybe I can ask her for permission to leave early... every single time... the more I think about it the more I think she'll refuse, but I'll give it a shot anyway. Otherwise, I'll get off the last bus at like.. 9:30...

@Dusty | The schedule can be pretty tiring, but I like all the classes so far. So far, I only really dislike the time for Wednesday, but it's an honors class, so it can't be changed around.. ah well.

But it will get tiring in the year, when finals are due, as well as major assignments. Classes always tend to make things due the same day. T.T

I remember when I started college, the new student seminar instructor told us not to take too many classes, that they might seem easy, but the work strain hits right about the 2nd month or 3rd month into it. And he was right. This coming semester Im only taking one class...and its in the evening since Im working from morning till noon.
Maybe its the difference in majors. My professors for some reason always stress to take only their class for the semester cause of the demanding nature of it.
