Why would you need a secondary character for that? Is there a possibility that the current one may lose the gold or items?

Well, I'm one of those odd folks who gives their secondaries personalities that differ from my main. I tend toward different personas on the main and mule.

I swore to myself I would not change until the Valentine's event. That should keep me away from making new outfits (that's usually how I end up spending >_> )

How do the events work on this site? I know how they work on Gaia, but this site seems to be mostly Forums, so I don't know how it would work on just forums...

Truely...I don't know how they work. Are we directed to a forum and post things? Are there quests somehow to do? On Gaia, they relate to going to the towns and shops and getting different things. Don't know how that works with posting in forums, etc.

This last event was a little different than usual.
This is what has happened in the events I've participated (except for the Winter one).

There are two types of currencies. One to buy Event Commons (in the Event Store, which is only open during events), and one to buy the Event Items. The Event Items are only available during the event, but the Event Commons are put into shops once the event is over.

Some events have had the collection process done differently. Sometimes you have to search through the forums until the currency appears, and other times there are specific pages where you go ever few minutes. Also, you usually need to solve clues to find where certain items are located. The amount you find is usually random. Also, you usually get event currency when posting. The currency you get is usually the one that gets you the Event Items, since the event commons are at half price anyway.

What happened during the Winter event was this:
The currencies were both very easy to find. You'd click the buttons every 10 minutes, to keep people from abusing the system.
There was a snowfield page, where you would dig for snow. Every 8 buckets would get you a gift. There were 5 gifts total.
Then there was the Channah versus Greed page. You would collect yarn balls in this page, and you could choose to give it to Channah so that she could make the scarf for the snowman, or you would keep it for yourself to spend on Event Commons.
The snow was the event item currency, the yarn was the common currency.
Sad to say that Greed won, and there WILL be a punishment for that with the next event because people were selfish >_>

I'm kinda peeved, because I donated every yarn ball I got, without taking any for myself D8
