So, I've been taught by some of my friends (HA! LIKE I LISTEN!), basically, that in the "normal" relationship, the guy weighs more than the girl.

Now, of course, there is the "abnormal" relationship where the girl weighs more than the guy, and that's perfectly fine, right? :)

But what I'm asking is what about like, skinny boys that weigh like 115 pounds or less?

Some of us -cough cough- like those skinny boys.

However, some of us don't particularly embrace the idea of looking like cadaverous skeletons just to keep certain people's tradition of females being lighter than their partners. :|

SO men (and boys?) of Menewsha, would it bother you if your girlfriend weighed more than you?

Editz:: By the way, I'm not trying to shun boys who like boys or girls who like girls here. xD
I'm just looking at it from my perspective, so if you are one of the above, and would still like to reply, please just twist the topic around and look at it from your perspective. :3

me and my boyfriend weigh the same XD well we did
but not at the moment anymore, i gained weight but i have a very good reason why and its not fat or muscle hehe ^___^

but really i dont think it matters just like the man has to be taller doesnt matter either.
as long as your happy with who you are with then its all good.
i dont know wher your friends got that idea from but they need to wake up XD

I'm not a guy, but I don't think it should matter. If I were more than a puny five feet and one hundred pounds, I wouldn't mind a guy being lighter than me. However, if he were now, that would just be... anorexic or something. o_0

I don't think it matters.. xD
But, whatever.
I'm so tiny, I weigh like 95 pounds, so I weigh less than my boyfriend.

If I was male it would. And If I weighed more than my boyfriend I would feel weird about it too. The man should just be bigger in my opinion.

Nope. Especially since even if she is of a similar frame as me, if she has any curves at all that's gonna make her weigh more, and I think curves are much more attractive on a girl than flat skinny bones. Not to mention they feel better against you. D:

Yay opinions! ^^

I don't think it should matter either. :]
I mean, I'm only 5'1, but being under like 110 sounds unhealthy to me. :?

I'm not that skinny now, mind you. But I'm losing weight. I still want to have curves when I get done losing weight though...

No curves just seems unappealing for both parties involved to me. D;

It doesn't actually matter really :] But sometimes I do feel weird if a guy is lighter than me.

There is no such thing as a "normal" relationship, and the only kind of relationship that is "abnormal" is one that is abusive. But I don't think people realize that until they've gotten away from high school, where everything is pretty black and white.

Saying "the girl has to be smaller than the boy" is a lot like saying "the girl must be younger" (which I believe is statistically untrue, in most relationships in the United States, women are older than men), "the man must have bigger muscles than the woman" or "the woman must make less money in her job than the man" or "the woman must be subservient to the man". And some of those sound very unappealing, don't they?

Once you've found the person that you want to be with and who wants to be with you, it won't matter what your friends say about how you two match up physically, whether or not you two meet their prerequisites of age, gender, skin color or body size. :/

My boyfriend of 1 year and 5 months weighs 120 pounds. He is very skinny and tiny. Tall too but still skinny. I on the other hand am a fatty fat fat. Just add another 100 pounds to his weight and you will have mine. Yeah i know im fat. And i tell him this all the time and he always tells me im not. It really bugs me because i know i am. A lot of people have said something to me or him because of the difference. Family, friends and butt holes but everyday we still love each other and are happy. Well i am most times. Other times when i get down because of how big i am i just think about it more and more and when we go out it makes me feel bad walking with him because to me it doesnt look right. I should be smaller than him. Thats just what is pictured in my mind. When he buys me stuff like clothes and undies and bustiers it makes me feel bad because im so big but i know its not his fault and if he loves me for who i am and doesnt care how big i am then it makes me smile and happy to know that and then i forget about feeling so blue and i feel sexy :]

Lollie:: Aww that is soo sweet! ^^
That is so great that you found someone who loves you for who you are instead of how you look.
You shouldn't ever feel bad about yourself. :[
Even if you are big, I bet you're still really pretty. :)
Besides, you aren't that big anyway. I know some people who'd make you look like a runway model in comparison. >.>

Tea:: Of course you can't. xD
And...the world needs skinny girls too!
I mean, I like skinny boys, right?
SO you know there's boys who like skinny girls. :)

This pisses me off because my byfriend tells me the day I can't fit into his pants he's going to break up with me and that he doesn't want a fat girlfriend. What pisses me of is he's not prefect but I've put that aside for him but he wants to be shallow and not date a fat chick?

I wouldn't mind if a guy was lighter than me as long as he wasn't petite or really short.. because I'm big-boned and tall so that would make me feel really weird because I'm insecure about my body and being with a smaller guy makes me feel worse.
I have dated 2 guys that were smaller and shorter than me and it was just really not working for me with the size difference and I couldn't feel romantically attracted to them. o:

Well I dunno how my boyfriend feels about it. But as a girl dating a skinny guy, I can tell you I think it's pretty funny. We've always weighed about the same. We used to both weigh about 105 pounds or so. This last time I was at his house we got on the scale and found that we'd both gained weight. He now weighs 114 and I weigh 116. XD So I weigh two pounds more than my boyfriend. And I think it's funny. Anyways, I don't mind him being skinny at all. I've never cared for men with muscles, I find them highly unattractive, so I prefer my skinny guy. Plus I can actually lift him up off his feet and that's very fun and amusing to do. I took him quite by surprise the first time I did it to him. He was not expecting to be picked up by a girl I'm sure. :XD

Why would it bother me if my girlfriend weighed more than me? I am only interested in compatibility and a person's heart.

diehly:: Why does it piss you off? o.o

I'm not saying that girls SHOULD be skinnier, I think that relationships should be perfect in whichever way works for the couple in the relationship.
Chances are, I'M going to be bigger than my ideal boyfriend because I like skinny guys and I don't want to be skin and bones myself.

So I personally hope it won't matter to the guy I wind up with. But if it does, then I won't be with him, huh? xD

And your guy sounds like a real prick, by the way. :/

Vickicat:: Haha, you picked him up? xD Yeah, I'm sure that was unexpected.
I would have laughed if I had been there. ^^

rockin:: Then you are a good guy. :]

One of the reasons, other than my epic social awkwardness, that I'm still perpetually single is because I refuse to date someone shorter or lighter than me.
Since I'm almost 6 foot [within 2 inches. e___X ], that narrows it to only a few people.

I don't understand how people can get into relationships with the opposite, but some people don't mind, I guess.
