Strange as it is, Artemis Fowl. In the later books, of course, as he is only twelve in the first one.

Nope. I don't know if it is because I am a gemini but I tend to have a great imagination and also be very logical, even as a little kid. I also never went through the phase of crushing on a teen idol. Logically I will most likely never meet any sort of famous person and even if I did the likelyhood that we would hook up is highly unlikely. So to fall in love with an imaginary person/character who does not even exist (I'm assuming fiction here) seems weird to me. It either comes down to me liking or not liking a character. I know seems so unromantic but *shrugs* hey that's how I am, lol.

I'm not sure, I read a lot of books where I never really like any of the characters. I just read because I can.
But I always fall for the bad guys. Evilness is so sexy.
So basically all the hot bad guys. Even the not so hot ones.

I'm totally with you there. Bad guys are very sexy. Though my favorites tend to be the grayish characters some bad some good. Out for their own cause, whatever that may be.

psshhawww. have i ever? lolz. Of course! Endlessly. Emphatically. Obsessively. Unfortunately, it seems every time I do, they die. I won't go into who it has been, but apparently I'm attracted to those destined to die whether hero or foe. It's warped my sense of relationship now sadly v.v And yes I agree that villains are oodles sexier than heroes, but that is for another topic ;)

Snape was the man, definitely.
I even remember watching Order of the Phoenix and it showing the flashback of when he was a teenager and I was like, "Oh, damn." Long hairrrrr~

Well I started reading the HP books back in 6th grade (I'm a senior in college so...how many years is that?) and I think it was 1/2 way through the first book I started having a crush on Snape. It just kept growing too =3. Then, like you said, when they show him in the movie as a teenager I was like o.o...hmmm...i can work with that ;-). when they get all the movies out, I'm making a bunch of snape tribute videos and posting them on youtube.

That happens to me all the time! It seems like half of my favorite characters have died at least!
Mechanical Heart: Maybe a smaaall attraction. I like him better as Tom Riddle though. I'm more of a Draco or Sirius fan personally.

As far as the original post goes...I positively was smitten with Armand from The Vampire Chronicles. When I read The Vampire Armand, I was so depressed when it ended. Needless to say I had to go read all the Chronicles just to get more Armand. :x
Was I ever attracted to Lord Voldemort thought? Maybe a little. Call me plain...but I've always just been a huge Harry fan and so I never really could take the side of good 'ol Tom Riddle. Although after you've read all the books...you do feel a bit of affection for him.

Chikuma: Ahhh that explain it. ^^ It's ok. I'm pretty new here myself. It'll be a week tomorrow. Yeah it's interesting how different people react to books differently. Like a lot of us here who love the characters to death and those who take a more logical approach. My dad can't even really enjoy books or movies that are fantasy that much because it can't ever really happen or hasn't happened or whatever.

@Sunlit.rains- I love fantasy and scifi. I guess you could say I 'love' characters because they get me excited or I like it when they pop up in the book. I just don't crush on them. I was thinking about this last night though and if any character came close for me to crushing it would have to be Legato from Trigun. He is one crazy nutjob of a dude and that always gave me the giggles. I know I'm a bit of a weird one.
I have a great imagination and love reading anything that is fantastical but I just don't get crushing on a fake person. Then again I'm not a big romantic so that may play a part in it too.

Oh man I didn't even list my manga crushes......that brings in a whole new big list XD I'll just do the main ones I guess.
Gojyo - from Saiyuki
Ukoku - from Saiyuki
Renji - from Bleah
Nakago - from Fushigi Yuugi
Fai - from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Jizabel- from The Cain Saga/Godchild
Kato - from Angel Sanctuary
Kira - from Angel Sanctuary
Raphael - from Angel Sanctuary
Mello - from Death Note
Marian Cross - from D.Gray Man
<.< I think that's all the major ones

@Tayee: I never read the whole Chronicles...though I did want to learn more about Armand. It seems Antonio played him fabulously...or if not he makes a very sexy vampire. Either way, I'm far more a Lestat fan than a Louis fan. Shame on Stuart Townsend. He looks more like a Louis than a Lestat. Tom Cruise does it much better. Probably because he's more annoying like Lestat =). Ack, I'm discussing movies more than books. shame on me v.v
@Sunlit's last post: my dad is kind of like that too O.o He especially likes movies on things that already happened rather than what could happen. Though he does like sci-fi at least =3. Then again...science fiction is usually one breakthrough away from becoming science fact.
I'm not picky. I like all kinds of books, even biographies. Though I have to say I like overlapping genres best. Suspense/Comedy/Sci-fi/Fantasy/Adventure/Romance all in one delectable binding ;)
Hmmm you gave me an idea...Perhaps if I list those in Bleach alone, that'll give you an idea of how bad I am at crushing on anime characters. I can't stick to one guy in a single anime, let alone one guy out of all the anime I've seen. I think Bleach is topping my charts with single anime with most crushes though. Here we go.
(In no particular order)
Grimmjow
Renji
Byakuya
Aizen
Gin
Hisagi Shuuhei
Uryuu Ishida
Chad
Starks
Urahara
Ishida Ryuuken (Uryu's dad)
Zangetsu (yes...Ichigo's sword's spirit)
Hollow Ichigo
Kyouraku Shunsui
Muguruma Kensei
Shiba Kaien
Noba in his gigai
hell even Kenpachi a little (when his hair is down)
(note I don't have Ichigo or Ulquoirra on here...they just aren't my type.)

Destruction: You should totally read all of the chronicles. Antonio made a good vampire but....Armand is supposed to be like 16. Also he's from Russia so o.O I feel like someone else would have been a better choice. I thought Stuart Townsend did a good job playing Lestat how he was in that stage of his life. Lestat's character really evolves throughout the books in my opinion.
My dad does that too. He likes real stories and some sci-fi. I like most anything, though mainly fantasy, sci-fi, and historical stuff.

Yeah I heard that. I often wondered why one of the oldest actors in the movie was playing one of the youngest characters. Lolz ^_^. As for Stuart, my biggest beef is not with him but the movie in general. Lestat was blond and blue eyed right? So unless he changed to brown and w/e color Stuart is...i mean, couldn't they have put some contacts in and change his hair color? Hollywood failed me ='(. And Marius being Lestat's master? For shame. It was baldy-no-teeth that changed Lestat. But as far as movies go, I consider Queen of the Damned a 2.5 out of 5. Some actors were overly dramatic for my tastes. As far as a vampire movie goes...perhaps a 3.5 out of 5. Let's face it, vamps are dramatic...and ubber smexy <3

I felt like he was blondish enough to get away with it. Not only is Marius not his master but Marius is blonde too! At least they had Lestat as a dirty blonde! *sees your list of bleach characters* yeah I understand. Bleach is fun, though I really only have eyes for Renji in that anime. I love red haired facially marked men. XD
