I have night classes so my sleeping hours won't effect my school work like it did in high school.
i sleep during the day and i'm wide awake at night. i would go through a week with about a half hour of sleep each day until i got to friday then i would past out when i got home.

I see. I just have trouble sleeping period. I can't really sleep in the day and at night I only seem to get a few hours of sleep. I never sleep for very long. So far though it hasn't really affected me that badly. A few weeks ago it was pretty bad but now I'm getting my usual amount of sleep so it's good. I guess I'm one of those people who only needs a few hours of sleep. I don't know.

i don't need much either but i need more then 30 minutes a day.. 2 hours and i'm good and i do pretty good on 1 too. just i guess 30 minutes isn't enough. insomnia is fun... yeah right...

It's going fine I guess. I have a long way to go though. I just saw someone's offer for a Pudao in the exchange. It's pretty high and I don't think they have anyone biting yet.

The same here. Once it hits ten 'o clock at night everything pretty much closes. In the summer you have till eleven at night. I think movies have midnight showings and that's the latest.

I'm used to being able to do things besides going to malls and the movies. There really isn't much to do here. I'm also used to stuff staying open rather late. So when I moved here there were a lot of adjustments to make. Still kind of are. I don't know if I'll ever get used to things here honestly.

Nah, I didn't just move I moved several years ago. But it's the first time that I've lived in the United States.

I moved around a lot and lived in mostly Central and South America. So I had the whole culture shock thing moving back over here. I'm American but I moved when I was quite young so I really didn't grow up here at all and it shows sometimes.

Even though it's been several years I'm still not used to a lot of things. I don't feel like this is my culture or home country. So I sometimes get home sick. My mom finds it all kind of funny. Honestly I don't think I'll ever get used to certain things. I hope to go back one day.

So what are some of the things you can't get used to, Keska? I can't imagine growing up in one culture, then moving to live in one that's really different. I mean, I remember when I traveled to Germany for a an exchange program, how happy I was to be home after just 3 weeks. lol

@ Lost: Why don't you want to be near your family? Just want to get away and live on your own kind of thing?

@ June: It's funny when anyone asks me that I sometimes have trouble explaining things or coming up with stuff. I'm more aware of it when it's happening.

Some of the things that come to mind right now are when I go out to eat with people I take a really long time to eat. I'm usually the last to finish a meal. I'm used to taking my time and talking a lot with people during a meal. See to me when I go out to eat with people the food comes second. It's really about hanging out with the people and chatting. Also it seems like most places rush you. They want you in, eating, and then you're out. You don't really get to chill after a meal.

The pace seems much faster than I'm used to. Just in general with everything.

Also everything seems to shut down really early but that could be because I don't live in a city. I've also not seen a true bakery here yet. Which makes me sad. I'm used to getting up early to walk down to the bakery to get my bread fresh from the oven.

Those are just a few things that come to mind right now. If you give me time I'm sure I can come up with more. XD
