Phoenix & Kes - Yeh it does seem like the age lol, when i ask people who are quite experienced in this matter they all say that it kinda started around 15-16. Luckily for me my family is quite open to this kind of stuff, so it wasn't hard for me to obtain information about it. Not that i have to answer to them anyway as i'm old enough to do what i want lol.
I had a boyfriend who use to be against it because his brothers mother was involved in some cult and he kinda associated anything like that with cults so yeah, i had to keep quiet about that one, but my current partner is interested himself so yeah works out i guess =]

@ Bartuc: Cool. I'll see you around then.
@ Platinum: I'm sorry. I seem to keep leaving as you are starting to get on. I guess I'm going to have to stay up later. That seems to be when everyone is most active.
@ Roachi: I was still living with my parents and I was under eighteen at the time so I did have to answer to them. Now, not so much though. xD
I like the current outfit. Very nice.

Morning Keska Morning Roo,
Roachi- Im a liberal parent I told them all they needed to research all angles of spirituality rather than follow mine or their fathers verbatim, We had to do the same as kids my dad insisted, I have hundreds of books in a research library weve been collecting for years that they can read about religions of the world but ultimately since it comes from within they each have the freedom to find their own.

Phoenixx - I think that it's awesome you have given your kids the choice to choose what they believe in. I want to be that kind of parent too. I hate parents who force religion onto their kids, i think that's wrong.

@Roachi: I feel the same way.

Wow... sounds like great parenting advice. I grew up with religion so it's kind of different... I think it'd be interesting to give no guidance whatsoever and see what they want, too. But I'm all for the independent child. XD
Good luck on your quest, btw. 8D

Faithom - I grew up with religion too lol. But when i entered my teen years i kinda just went off on my own. My parents never forced me to go to church it was always an option. And anyway church is fun when your a kid, it's when your an adult it starts to get boring lol.

I don't understand why people get baptized when they know nothing about why your baptized. It means nothing to people who are not religious. So to me i just feel that's a waste of time.

lol, I totally meant to say grew up without religion. XD
XD I've been to church a couple of times [like, a couple [2] literally lol] and I thin it's hard to sit there and listen when they criticize other religions. :\
Maybe people do it to appease their parents... or like think about how that means they're not going to Hell, which is always comforting.

I grew up with religion and then as I got older I started to explore other religions. Which of course kind of made my parents nervous.
Hey guys, just a head's up. I most likely won't be on that much during the weekend. I'm going to be pretty busy. I'll try and stop by every now though.

*pops in* we're talking about religion, right?
I told my parents I was agnostic this year, and they nearly died. I've been agnostic for a few years already, but I couldn't bring myself to tell them. Going to church is almost unbearable for me, but I still have to go every Sunday. My parents say so...

Hello Platinum. Yes, we seem to be talking about religion now. xD
It honestly seems like most parents want their kids to have the same religion as them.

I think children are very much like clay, and you can mold them so far until they set the final form, but you have to allow them freedom to make decisions. Some will be poor but they learn from that we all do. We give the the information they make the choices, I didn't want to make mini me or mini dads I wanted strong willed, intelligent, well rounded contributions to society I mean after all is said and done they are the only thing I have left when I'm passed away right? Best be a good thing since it is a legacy.

I don't think I've ever heard it put quite that way before Phoenixx. It's very awesome that you are raising your kids that way. I hope that if I do become a parent one day that I will be as good of a one as you are.
