First Year Seminar -- it's the second component to a first year requirement lol
We have to take FYP (First Year Plenary) the fall of our freshman year, and then FYS the spring :3
It's stupid and pointless, but it's meant to get us "active" with our "community" (the people in our dorm) and get us "close" as "friends" >.>
It's really just a pointless class where you live with people you can't stand and are forced to wait until sophmore year before you can get rooming assignments that are decent and what you want lol
Ex. quiet, alcohol free, etc. :3

My FYP was on marriage and family, and my FYS is on constitutional law of the family lol
I like my FYS much better than my FYP :3
It's much more interesting <3
Plus, I got the research project I wanted -- the one about gay rights for adoption <3

Ohhh, THAT. D8 We have stuff like that here at SEMO, kinda dumb. It's at the beginning of the school year though, and not required to go to. :'3 Just watch boring people talk/parents ask questions, then walk around campus in a group you're assigned to, so you can "bond" and make friends (even though you never talk to them again), and such. We did a scavenger hunt thingy last fall. :'3 BOOORING. D8
