^This is the final, but I'd still appreciate critique, seems like there's always something that's wrong *LOL*

Grr! this is the first image I've ever colored without outlines...which means it's become very wonky, very fast. I'm focusing on the head first, but for the life of me I can't get the skin to look right. (her eyes are different sizes here, but I fixed that already IRL) Normally I paint, so I thought I'd be able to shade the same way. I was wrong.

As a side note, anyone know how to do eyelashes?

Well You could do a layer and then different layers so that you can draw it but hide it after wards..
On the eyelashes the middle ones go up..straight the sides curve outwards.

well, I drew the image in pencil and scanned it first, so I do have lines. But I can't use the lines to hide mistakes like I normally would *LOL*
Thank you for your suggestion though:)

Try defining your facial features especially the nose and the eyes. You're missing the rims of the eyes. Dun be afraid to use darker colours =) especially for the nostrils, inbetween the lips and the eyelids to define the overall face =) Instead of doing away totally with the lines try blending them in ^_^ Hope that helps

yes actually, it does! I didn't even think about that problem with the eyes until you pointed it out...I love your artwork by the way...(I stalked your thread before) Thank You!

Thank you again to Atsura as well!

I'll try and post an updated image tomorrow :)
