With d2hiriyuu currently being the only seller of Oct CI's, people are willing to pay inflated prices for them. You really can't say that's the current going rate when there are no other sellers to compare her to. Until more sellers pop up, the current going rate can't really be determined.

Yeah, eroy and i have discussed that, and decided on what possible prices to put up on the market price, and decided depending what people offer, will depend on what is shown on the marketplace prices.

For the record, the highest bidder at 2k won't be the going price on the site (that is a bit ridiculous for the average person).

But yes the supply and demand is what I play off, not really promoting marketing as much as knowing it is day 1 of the items being available, and hoping people are willing to play amounts to get the few items that I have.

And yes I do play off the fact I am the only one with the items who sells anything the first couple of days.

d2hiriyuu, I think you've been pretty fair in how you're handling things with your sets. I don't think a single person here can honestly say they would have handled things any differently if they were the only seller on the market either. That's what marketing is all about.

I don't see what you're doing as contributing to inflation...if anything, it's the buyers themselves who are contributing to inflation, by offering more for these items than they would normally go for, and will probably go for much less in a day or so.

If every single person here refused to pay anything over 900g for these sets, you would quite obviously sell them for 900g. Some people simply want the items more and can afford to pay more for them and are willing to do so.

You're just using good business sense. After all, you're quite limited in how many of these sets you can sell, so how else can you determine who these sets should go to, but to give them to the highest bidders. No one can fault you for that.

I get a bad rep a lot for it at times cause I did let auto buy of last CI sets be 1k, and then they stayed there all month...

Well, that's again the choice of the buyers if they want to purchase them or not. All back to supply and demand, hehe.

Exactly, that is why it is an auction style. The issue was cause people don't sell at a price till they know the going price, they then saw mine, and asked the same...making it the going price.
