but i have an unrelated question.. sorry if its too much trouble, but, Where do I write a thread about suggesting Menewsha to be part of a particultar convention? ^^;

There isn't a thread for that. To be honest, the best way you can get us to be part of a convention is to get us invited as guests and have a minimum attendance of over 4,000. It's expensive going to a convention. I spent a few hundred dollars going to Momocon and that was only a few hours' drive away. And I know Omi spent more than I did. We were just lucky we had a free table or it would have been more expensive. :b

@CK oh i see.. well I would like for you guys to come to the NY anime festival one thas in september. I am willig to pay something for it too if you guys don't mind me collaborating with ya'll.. I know i am not a mod or anything... but it would be awesome to bring Menewsha to NY like that...they always have thousands attending...maybe i can request to invite you guys somehow? ^^ I have their site up... it looks like they aren't ready to set up anything for their convention yet..but i know a month from now they will start the set ups... you know?

You can always request that the convention consider us as guests for future conventions. :) If nothing else, they'll be aware of us. I wouldn't want you to have to put any of your own money into us going anywhere. :) It'd be much better if you had the money to spare to put it into Contribution Items right now, though the offer is much appreciated. :)

Esme you need to consider the expenses. Only one staff member lives in NY state (and that's upstate, nowhere near where a convention would be held), the others are all hundreds of miles away. The cost for anyone attending a NY convention would be prohibitive to say the least :sweat:

CK and Omi attended Momocon because they lived relatively close. But we don't have the funds to finance travel to conventions that are nowhere near where anyone lives.

Awww... :( well let me start converting people in NYC to menewsha and hopefully they will be staffable in the near future... :sweat:

I do know there is a Rochester convention..and a Ronkonkoma one..although that one is too close... I kno some NJ ones.. oh well..

I hope GA isn't the only place where Menewsha can be.. you know? ^^; But thanks so much for answering my question guys!

It won't just be Georgia, but will for awhile be limited. The absolute minimum of staff members to go to a convention will be two - preferably four as we learned from Momocon that if you don't have the ability to switch people out, you are stuck behind the table literally the entire convention. Omi and I got up to go to the bathroom once each on one of the days on the convention. And that was the only time we were able to get up from 10am to 6pm. We didn't even get to have lunch.

New York will be difficult if not impossible for us to go to for a long time. Though whether this "long time" ends up being a year or five is anyone's guess.

Do you need people to just volunteer to help out??

If mene came to NZ i would travel anyyyywhere to get there xDD.

well CK ... will you think of me as a helper to your next event? I wouldn't mind spending money to be with you guys and help out and make sure everyone is happy. I have pink hair too! ^^ and kitty ears... XD people will like me! and I don't really need bathroom breaks.. i make do. :)
