Name a couple things that just piss you off at work. It might be a good idea to describe what you do/supposed to all day.

I work at a souvenir shop downtown in my city. The more and more I work the more I realize how dumb people really can be. And it makes me really upset cause they are the ones affording the vacation.

But yeah we sell personalized stuff with names on them. Like mugs and keychains. I've had two people ask me, "Are these racks in alphabetical order?"

......no. We want you to stay longer and take up more room in this tiny shop for you to look for your child's name that you left home cause you were to sick of them to bring them along.

Another thing that pisses me off is people the completely mess up the store and don't buy anything. They try on all the sweatshirts and leave them in the wrong place for me to pick up. It's very annoying when I'm by myself and don't have to the time too.

I get this almost every time I have a middles school or lower buy something buy themselves. After I give them the money back they don't even give me enough time to ask them if they wanted a bag and they end up coming back asking for one. Am I really that intimidating?

People who puts stuff on the counter and act like they're ready. Then when you start ringing up the items they go off to look around some more. Um hello I have other people in line and I really don't want to do a refund just because you weren't ready. Check out or tell me you are going to look around some more.

I guess that's all for my rant today. The cafe is close to closing. But I have a lot more trust me. Let me hear yours. They can be as long as you want I'll try and read them.

I work in a pet store in the pet care department. Basically, I'm in charge of making sure all the animals are taken care of and making sure everything's done according to policy. There's a lot of things that piss me off, but the major things are when customers don't listen to advice about how to take care of pets then end up with problems with their animals because they're too stupid to do research on animals before they buy them.

Most the time it's people not taking care of fish and they act like it's not a big deal if they kill a fish, when it pisses me off because I spend hours daily taking care of the fish in the department. I don't get people's logic behind not thinking fish feel pain and things like that just because they live in the water. Another thing that pisses me off is people not doing their jobs and having to correct things that should have been done right in the first place. There's a ton of other things, but that's all I'll say for now.

I work at a vet clinic with Mother in the next city over, a forty minute drive. I work every other weekend because it's the only thing I get, and the boss is already bending his "no family" policy far enough by hiring me in the first place. So, I appreciate what I can get.

I work with the kennels staff. We have a high range of things that we have to do. sometimes our work will go as high as some of the lower tech-work when they need a helping hand. We clean the place from top to bottom. We trim nails, give baths (ranging from simple, to ear-cleans, squeezing the anal glands, and again, nail trim), take care of the boarding dogs and cats (medicate, feed, water, and walk), hold dogs and cats while the techs are working with them, and other things like that. Various things aggravate not only me, but most of the kennels staff as well:

1) We get pushed around a lot, because we are the bottom of the chain there. When we are swamped, we are getting told to do five things at once, and it is hard to prioritize, because each person that gives us a job to do thinks that their job needs to be done first.

2) The Kennels supervisor doesn't do anything. He stands over us and orders us around, and watches us do it instead of doing something himself. He once stood in front of a paper towel for ten minutes, waiting for one of the kennel staff to get enough free time to come over and pick it up.

3) One of my co-workers tries to boss everyone around. That, and he doesn't seem to realize that not one person there likes him. He is the one that came before me, and just because he is older than the rest of the people that are there, he thinks that he is superior. He tries to order around the people who even taught him how to do his job. He never asks for help (when it is obvious that he needs it), and will refuse if you ask him if he needs any help. The only time he asks for help is if you have to run across half of the clinic to get to him.

4) When parents (we call the owners of the dogs parents) blame us for their dog's bad health. We have one dog that comes in that is overweight with a yeast infection. We know that she doesn't medicate her dog, because when she is boarding, she gives us the medication with the same amount of pills as what we prescribed to her, in the original bottle, and then stresses the importance of giving her the medication. She also gets mad when her overweight dog loses weight because we are feeding her the appropriate amount of food instead of overfeeding the dog like she does.

Stress, stress, stress.

I don't really look forward to work this weekend, because Tropical Storm Faye will be hitting us midday tomorrow. A lot of people will be boarding, and I assure you that there will be a large percentage of the dogs who will go crazy because of the thunderstorms. When things like these roll about, we have a hard time finding room for all of the animals that are boarding. Sorry for all of this ranting, and please wish me luck this weekend.

Yeah I totally know how you feel when people bitch over how you do things.

I get a lot of "Please don't take the hanger out like that. You'll stretch the collar." I do my best to put as little pressure on the collar as possible for ya so keep your pants on.

Or "Do mind if I wrap that?" After I already wrapped the damn thing. Is my wrapping skills not good enough for you? I only do it 50 times a day.

But yeah another thing I forgot to mention is when people haggle for one item. I hate that. "I've been in the store for awhile now I should get a discount lol." Even when you kidding it's not funny.

Or when people complain about the stupidest things on clothing. "There's a little bit of dirt on here can I get a discount?" Just buy it and put it in the washing machine. Not that hard. I almost got a lady yesterday that was complaining about how the shirt was pressed. You're buying a $6 t-shirt! What makes you think it's going to be perfect quaility.

Oh god I'll have to talk about the Wigglies later. It's like the worst thing we sell.

Ah yes, the irritation of idiots. I have little patience and no time for them. This is why I try to be as polite as possible to someone serving me since there's a chance they had a complete asshole before me and would appreciate a little care.

http://customerssuck.com/ You are not alone in this matter by a long shot.

I'm considering going into the bomb squad since it's safer then customer service.

The only thing I have a problem with is the amount of ignorant customers that come through day by day. I work at Taco Bell, and it's annoying when people come through drive thru and order for their entire office or family, holding up the drive thru line with their huge order and pissing us and the other customers off. If you have a huge order you NEED to come inside.

People who order huge orders when they can obviously see that there's only one person making food. While I can somewhat understand this in drive thru where you can't see the line (you should be COMING INSIDE anyway for huge orders), if you're ordering on front counter and have a clear view of the line you should be a bit more respectful of the people who are making your food and at least make an attempt to come at an earlier or later time where there are more people available to make your order.

This happens everyday, and it shouldn't. We even have regulars that pull this kind of crap. It's just testament to how completely ignorant America (and probably the rest of the world) has become.

Ugh, I work at my dad's resturant and it's a pain, I kinda want a new job, but my dad said no D;
But I guess I should be grateful, that i'm somewhat getting paid more than my friends do, at they're jobs.
Anyways, I don't like it when he tells me to do stuff xDD
I mean, why can't I just sit and read?
I didn't want to come here in the first place, you made me! D:
But the most thing is when i'm reading and like it's busy time and they call me right?
Well they're not patient enough to wait until I finish the page, so they keep on calling me until they finally come and tell me and get all sjdaflksdjfkl on me, but like they can't be patient?!
Plus it's not like it's a long page >___>;;

Wow, yeah. People are just dumb! I work at Walmart right now. Sometimes I wonder if people are just coming in as secret shoppers and are trying to purposely push my buttons to see when I'll get rude.
I work at night (when you would think people would be participating in that precious commodity known as sleep) and this group of guys first asked for converters when they meant comfortors and they were standing right next to them. Next they pick the only microwave that's out of stock and insist on having it. They practically demanded that I give them the display! There were ten other kinds right there. Then they left their carts full of stuff in the department while they went somewhere else in the store, for about three hours or more!
It's two in the morning, what is wrong with people?
Sometimes I have to wonder if I'm not dreaming because they are so unreal. Laugh, or scream I don't know which.

Being cheated out of most of my pay under the pretense of I'll get paid later...I'll get paid later and then having NO reference from them which I really really needed because I reported them to legal authorities. You don't get a work reference after that.

I'm new in the work force, and of course there are so many things that frustrate me as well when I'm working. This stress I get from it is so unnatural and unhealthy to a human being...it brings the worst out of them. I relieved me a little today when seeing a thread like this, it just keeps reminding me that I'm not alone, of course. (:
I dealed with stupid customers in fastfood. There was one customer that talked about how vegan-committed she was and then she stepped up to order grilled eggs with her 'no meat' sandwhich...brilliant.
And then of course I kept getting walked on at work, there was a newer guy that acted bossy 24/7, the typical complaints in a job, and probably the worst; the guys I worked with were about 40 years old and would say inapropriate things in arabic about/ to me. It got very unbearable...these men were very sexest too. While I'd work my manager would talk to me about how I'd make some man a wonderful housewife. Everytime I dealt with it because I knew the day would soon be over, and I would soon have money to afford gas and a much needed oil change for my car.

I'm just a lonely ole cashier girl. I work full time at the grocery store in the next town over. I tell you -- I work so very hard. I am always clean and tidy. I make sure to keep my drawer in order all the time. That includes the credit and debit sales; along with the money, coupons, et cetera. But I tell you what! I came to work today and Helga* just totally yelled at me. "Excuse me Jennifer, but next time you leave, make sure you have your drawer organized; GOT IT?!" I said, "Whuuu?" with a confused look on my face. She said she had to take her time to organize my drawer after I went home from work yesterday. I just remember snapping back, "What register was it?" She said it was two. And again, I snap back, "LADY! LISTEN HERE, I was on register ONE!" "And my register is ALWAYS neat and tidy!" She just looked at me hard for a moment, then walked away. Yuhh, I told Bob* what she did. And like...he totally got after her. Telling her not to accuse me of something before actually having proof of any sort. She avoided me all day today. I still hate her. >____>

Yuhhh, I hate when people set things on the counter, then walk away and crap. It's like, "Uh...hello! I've got others waiting!" or when their too stupid to realize that a sale is over -- and they've got last weeks paper that shows all these reduced prices. "Ahem, that is $.79 a pound, not $.89." Psh. Bite me.

The only thing that keeps me going is payday -- and the happier customers that come in.

I'm currently unemployed, but there were quite a few things that miffed me back when I worked for a certain retail chain.

1.) The older women who would become offended if you asked to see their ID. I had one customer in particular (on my first day on the job no less) who went crazy because I asked to see her ID (she was purchasing medication that required age verification). She started screaming and cursing, flat-out refusing to let me see it. Yes, I could tell that she was older than dirt, but it was company policy. If I hadn't asked to see her ID, I could have been fired. D:

2.) When co-workers would come into work after getting high or drunk, then slacking off and expecting me to willingly pull their weight. I reported those particular workers to the lead manager anytime they pulled that. We lost about three or four employees due to illegal drug usage.

3.) Parents who would let their infants/young kids play around on the buggies/carts. I had several parents try to snap at me whenever I'd ask their children to not sit a certain way in the cart (they'd be leaning over the edge of the seat, threatening to just fall out and smash their heads open on the tile floor). If they'd watch their kid(s), I wouldn't have to correct them. :\

There's a lot more, but I don't feel like super-ranting at the moment. X3

I work at a pizzaria/general store, and I HATE when the person I am working with either doesn't do shit and try to manager me when I've worked there for twice as long!
I also hate the people that call in orders and they call you not knowing what they want. Sometimes taking an order is like pulling teeth. I'm like "Do you want me to make you food, because I don't really care if you starve."
There are plenty of other things that piss me off too, but I can't think of them today, I had a decent day at work tonight aside from my back hurting.

I work at taco bell too T_T ...

I HATE DRIVE THRU...

people like to scream at the speaker like we can't hear them... or greet the speaker before the person taking orders can even say "Hi, how are you?" ... and there's some people who like to keep asking if we're still there because we haven't said something after each item they order... we're still there... we wear headsets... where do people think we go while we take their orders???! Or when they get to the window and we hand out their food and they sit there and look through their things and make our timer beep at us and then sit there for another minute to get extra sauces... and then extra napkins... or "Where's my cheese quesadilla?!" ... -_- at the bottom of the bag... drive thru is evil ... I hate it when they order a ton of food too... -_-

I also hate it when people order their food and don't tell the person taking the order that they want it a certain wait like with no sour cream or with soft tacos instead of hard tacos in meals or whatever and it irritates me when I have to remake food like 5 times within the same hour... sometimes it's the order takers fault but SERIOUSLY...

I work for a major airline in the US as a Fleet Service Agent. It's a pretty rough job for a girl. :P

Things that make me mad at work are:
*when people don't do their job, so you end up doing twice the work.
*when people speed on the tar-mac. One of these days someone at my station is gonna die. the fuelers and the lav truck people need to SLOW DOWN. >[
*pilots who are pompous jerks

the list could go on and on, but it'd be boring.

@kyoshiana: We like to mess with people who yell into the speaker sometimes. We tell them we can't hear them and they need to speak louder. :P It seems customers are stupider at Taco Bell than they were back when I worked at Mcdonalds (where the managers were the dumbshits). Which is sad, because the Mcdonalds I worked at is only a few buildings away from where I am now.

It's also annoying when you're calling out order numbers in lobby...people have their receipts with their order numbers printed on them, and we tell them their number after the order is taken. You still get morons looking at you like a deer in headlights or asking "Is that mine?". It's like they're too caught up in their own personal issues to pay attention to the food they ordered, the least they could do is look at the food in the bag and see if it looks anything like what they ordered...

When someone who ordered ten tacos takes a bag with a nacho bell grande in it I just want to punch them in the neck. -_-;;

I guess Americanized Mexican food makes people stupid or something.

I work in a factory where I stand for hours at a time and have at least two people bossing me around about things I have no control over. All I can do is just let them in order to get through the day.

Possibly the people who talk and gossip are the worst because I can't tell them I know they said something about me or someone I trust. Less work gets done that way, and I don't appreciate them talking behind people's backs. Basic human instinct, probably, or fear, that drives them to whisper instead of shout.

Although I'd love to see what happens if they did shout. It'd make for interesting conversation later. [not gossip, but discuss like the human race needs to learn.]

1.) this one chick told my wife i was too much drama and she needed to leave me and go out with her. i hate how she barges in on us 24/7. when we have our break time to kiss and cuddle she sneaks in and fucks it all up. i hate her so...

2.) when the kids won't be quiet after i've told them nicely 100 times. i swear the make me so mad sometimes.:sarcasm:

3.) when the kids blame me for stuff. its my job to keep them safe. but nooo they wanna go play in the street and stuff. so they blame me for them not having fun. how about i let them play in the street then i lose my job. EH?

4.) when i try to work on art for the kids and they take it and mess it up. i know their kids but god when i was little i listened to the teacher not go off and annoy the poo out of her.

5.) getting to work to find out im the only one there. i can't handle those kids on my own.

I work at this ice cream shop, Cold Stone Creamery. (it's a chain so you guys might have one :3) Generally I love my job because I work with some really goofy people and we can have a lot of fun. But the PEOPLE who come in sometimes! My GOD the PEOPLE. Dx I mean, Cold Stone is pretty expensive, especially for just ice cream (but some dayum good ice cream if I may say so). I get people who come in and ask me how much everything is (Even though the menu-pricing guide is right over my head) and then give me these looks of pain. I used to feel really bad, but now it just bothers me. You know Cold Stone is expensive, I know it's expensive, it's ALWAYS been expensive. If you don't want to spend the money, don't come here. D< (and some people do just walk right out)

Now worse than those annoying prats are the cheap-o rednecks and ghetto people who come in. (no offense to anyone >3>) But a nice person ahead of them in line will tip us a dollar, and then we sing a song(we always sing for tips.) and of COURSE the stupid redneck/ghetto people are retarded and say "sing another one!" To which we respond with our nicest smiles, "we only sing for tips. ;D" and then they give us a penny. And expect us to sing. >.< So we sing a shorter song because that's what we do for anything less than a dollar, and they flip out. It makes me so angry. You gave us a flipping PENNY.

And they flip over other stuff too, like for milkshakes. This old lady came barging back in because her husband's milkshake was "too thick". She said he couldn't get any out and he was too angry to come in himself. And she was angry. I mean, she was FURIOUS. It was so ridiculous. So the girl at the cash register offered to mix it a little more and make the shake thinner, and she was like, "NO D< I want a whole nother one!" So they made her another one, but it was ridiculous. Gah. I hate people like that. Anyway. -end rant- Regardless of these people, I still love my job... :3 <3

I work at a Sub Shop and a lot of things piss me off there, that's why I'm looking for another job. :]

Among others, the fact that they keep telling me they're making me a manager and then backing down, and the fact that I am not recognized for my work at all.

I am one, if not the best worker there and they don't seem to care just because I won't tuck my shirt in.
