lol I just set my avi to red/white/blue because its the 4th of July.
I was on Ernya, and dont have enough items to do it on there, so I hopped on here and changed my avi. And figured i'd post a time or two.

I was just going to wait for a decent copy of The Last Airbender to surface online first and torrent it rather than watch it in theatres. It never looked worthy of my ten dollars from the previews and stuff. So, yeah.

Avatar: The Last Airbender looked a bit good to me, but I really liked how Sokka seemed to be completely serious. :/ He's supposed to be the comic relief, and pretty funny, but he wasn't funny once in the previews. I know its a serious time, so he'd be less funny, but not completely

yeah i heard that movie was terrible. did you pay to watch it? i have free movie ticket... im not going to waste them on that though.

I have free movie tickets, too, but I like to save those for emergencies. When i'm out with friends and they suddenly want to stop by the movies and i'm broke. Haha.

But no, I haven't seen it yet. My mom wants to watch it, too, so i'll probably go watch it with her sometime. :]

My mom took me and my brother to see it... AWFUL MOVIE. :gonk:

Well, it seems to have gotten a ton of bad ratings. I had no means to see it anyways. xD

I liked the Last Airbender, thought it was a cute movie. Though to be fair, I haven't seen the original series.

I haven't had any desire to see The Last Airbender since the Racebending thing got started. I am curious about the cartoon now, though.

I saw the cartoon and didn't get too into it. I kinda lol'd at the race-bending that they did. I didn't realize it at first glance until Hammy told me about it. I was expecting, maybe, a 3/5 rating for that movie and just laughed when it got a 1.5 (or w/e). xD

Edit: But hey, an overall rating doesn't necessarily mean that it IS a bad movie. It's all up to the viewers' speculations.

I mean...I thought that "Avatar" was amazing in every way, but that movie will always have people to bash at it and say that it didn't deserve to be quite as successful.

Basically, from what I heard, everyone who was white (or had light-colored skin) was brown in the movie and vise versa for those who originally had brown skin in the cartoon.


Edit: Or, in a more respectful sense, the characters who were supposed to be of Asian/Inuit decent (as racebending.com put it) were portrayed by white actors.

Hatake: This. In essence, the beef is that the main cast is white, whereas the cultures and settings depicted in the cartoon are derived from various Asian traditions.

Hunh...I didn't know that people out there took this so seriously. xD
