But...Valentines is supposed to be pink/red, though. :(
I've got nothing against teal and orange, but that doesn't really fit the holiday theme all too well. xD

Lol. I'm ashamed of it. :P I grew up rolling around in the mud. That doesn't sound very girly to me. XD
My boyfriend appreciates that I'm not girly. :)

Same here demo. lol
I used to be all "noooo gross piiiink" and then I was all...wait...I like pink, why the fuck have I been uttering this nonsense for 15 years?
GO PINK!!!

----------

@neller: lol, that said I'm not that girly.
I don't wear makeup or style my hair, I just kindof do whatever.
But, some of the things I "like" are girly. xD
Like I love vintage...my goal in life is to have a "boudoir." c: It will probably just be filled with aromatherapy and candles and pretty things, more than makeup, but I will fill it with a vanity dresser and a comfy fluffy couch, and a pretty softtt rug on a hardwood floor...:drools:
Silk curtains, skylight.../dreams on....

Desire - Aww. Did you get some fillings done? :(

I have a root canal and some fillings in a couple weeks. I was supposed to get them done today, but the dentist never got back to me in time for me to make arrangements. :/

I'm sorry, good luck eating that soup. :P I can never eat after going to the dentist...but I also can't eat before (sight of needles and pain will sometimes make me puke), so I'm usually starving until the next morning after I go.

I hate the dentist. I don't have the greatest teeth, I know that. But my dentist is constantly shoving it in my face, making me feel really bad.

I agree with Monstahh about the girly topic. I grew up making mud pies and playing with animals like snails and lizards, but I also liked my barbies. >w> I'm just using that as an example. The closest thing to styling my hair is straightening it and I never wear makeup. xD I feel that I'm mostly tomboy.

Completely agree with Monstahh' and Demo

I used to be a hater of pink, and then all of a sudden I stopped and was like, "What's wrong with a little pink?" Not saying I wear it every day or anything, but I can definitely say that I enjoy the colour.

As for being girly, I can be, but its not all that bad. I do enjoy playing and kicking my guy friends' asses at video games, but I do tend to squeal at bugs and things like that. A healthy balance, I suppose.

I agree. I use to like pink when I was really young, and then it became a thing of "You're a girl, you're supposed to like pink" "Pink is for girls" and etc., and it made me hate pink. It seriously pisses me off when people say that I can't not like pink because i'm a girl. I dont mind it too much, like on here, but I will not wear it in RL. I dont like to and dont plan to. Which is funny, because evidently I look good in it, but it just feels really wrong wearing it. Also, I dont really like pink clothes. They bug me. It really drives me nuts when people wear a tooon of pink. Makes me want to walk over and smack them. Such overkill.

MUD! lol We have pictures of me as a kid just coated in mud and a huge ol' smile on my face. I love those pictures! Makes me miss those days. Now I prefer not to get too muddy, so as not to mess up my clothes or anything, but it would be fun if I had on clothes that could get all nasty.

I'm proudly not girly. Girly girls really bug me, and from most of the guys that I know, it bugs a lot of guys, too. Its not "cute" to act stupid or ditzy. And my friends and stuff that are guys love hanging out with me sometimes becaus I can act like one of the guys. Its fun for the both of us. And instead of being the pansy girl that screams at a harmless little bug or freaks out about a spider or snake, I can be the responsible one that takes care of the situation.

I think it's shameful to put down other women; overly dramatic or not.

Like many girls, I went through my phases of frilly chiffon dresses that my mother couldn't wrench out of my hands if her life depended on it, and yes, even that one year where I wore a dragon costume. It was a body suit where I just stepped in and zipped it up; came with a long green tail and everything. How weird is that? ahahaha!
From a tomboy who wouldn't dare wear a dress to a girl who enjoyed a few false lashes. Now there's hardly a day when I'm not wearing some sort of heel and dressing up. I even keep a few vests and trousers on the days when I want to be more casual and 'masculine', ahaha. I end up looking a lot like Diane Keaton in Annie Hall, teehee.

On a more topic-related point, I see some incredible avatars here that I've saved for nomination next round. It was hard for me to vote this round, too. There were some really fantastic avatars.

Well its not like snakes bug me. I have one after all. I am just really not a fan of insects. I squeal from the initial shock of seeing one, but at the same time I am a person who once I have finished going, "OH SHEEZNAT A SPIDER!" I grab a glass and then catch it and put the spider outside. I am fine with everything except for Butterflies. I am legit terrified of them XD

lol I've been gradually working my friends into not killing spiders. They use to be the kind that freaked the hell out about a spider and went out of their way to kill it or acted like they couldn't even go in that room without it wanting to attack them. They're a bit arachnaphobic. But now i've gotten my best friend to leave them alone usually or try to save them, same with another friend. So, thats good. ^^ Although, my best friend still freaks about bugs. >_>;; We were all hanging out the other day and she wanted her boyfriend to kill a big moth that was just hanging out on the ceiling. I thought it was messed. D: Poor innocent moth that accidently got in the house. There is no reason to kill it. :'( But she is like that with a lot of things. She had him stomp on a snake one day on campus because it was there. Although, it was already dead. Poor thing, though. Probably some other jerk stomped on it. T^T

Did something tragic happen that caused you to fear them? I've heard of that happening sometimes. I like butterflies, personally. ^^

@ crane - I dont think that there is anything wrong with wearing girlyish clothes. I know plenty of people that wear dresses rather often and like to wear heels. I happen to like how heels make ones legs look, so I like wearing them from time to time. Plus, they are a lot better for my high arches than most shoes. I'm not one to wear skirts or dresses, but thats just me. If I looked better in them or felt more comfortable in them, then i'd probably wear them.

And by girly girl I didn't really mean what people wear. I mean, everyone has their own style that works for them (although, i'll never support or respect the really short/tiny/revealing clothing "style"). But I mean the people that just act like wussies with everything. There were girls I went to highschool with that were actually rather smart, but everyone considered them the school bimbos because they acted like one. And I think girls like that give other girls a bad name. I'm not some feminist or anything, but I just find it annoying when girls are purposely acting stupid, because it makes it seem like more girls are like that, and guys get it in their head that girls are bimbos. And the girls that might be kind of like that girl are the ones more prone to be labled as such.

And I really do know people that I consider rediculous because they freak out about everything. I can understand if someone is genuinely scared of something, but it seems like a lot of people just do it for attention. Sorry i'm blunt, but I figure its better than saying I dont mind those kind of people. I am not saying being a "girly girl" makes someone a bad person, but just that I dont really like them and would never want to be considered one. From my experiences, they're usually unpleasant people. *shrugs* If you thing i'm a shameful person, then so be it.

I think women do it because it's easier than being assertive and then being shot down. By relying on the myth that women are incapable of anything of substance, we can giggle our way into situations most other people (avec penises) could not. At least, that's my theory on it. I'm guilty of acting like a ditz just to avoid talking to someone or getting out of obligations.

teehee
I understand, Suona. And I didn't mean to call you shameful as a person, just that degrading other women can be so unbearably cruel. Despite actions and behavior that we don't always find agreeable, I think we should try to at least curb negative comments. Don't get me wrong, I love gossip as much as the next person, but if I'm always thinking negatively towards women who I consider foolish, they'll keep acting like that.

Great outfit, Kiako.

edit; Does anyone else notice that we get into deeper conversations in the avatar forum than we do in the actual discussion forums?

:b I only kills spiders if they are within arms reach or a slight lunge and arms reach.
If its far enough that I have to move or walk towards it, then I'm not worried about it, I'm just going to pay very quiet attention until it gets close to me, then WAMMOO.
Because fuck spiders or anything creepy crawly in my personal space.

I will kill spiders if I know that they are poisonous. I dont like them being in my house where they can be a threat to my family or pets or myself. Even though most animals dont get too harmed by them, though. But i've been bitten on the face twice before while I slept, so its made me a little more weary about them being in my home. But if I'm not sure if they are or not, or I know they aren't poisonous, then i'll catch them and let them go. I really prefer not to kill things, so I try to avoid it. But i'll kill cockroaches.
