It definitely took a lot of effort. Trying to keep it all organized and running efficiently all the time. And making sure to keep everything fair to all of the contestants and making it worth everyone's time. I would love to hand it over to someone who has the time and is passionate enough about it to keep it going, but I don't know who I could entrust the contest to. I did make a mule so that I could set up a more permanent thread so that it could be passed around from owner to owner if desired, but I don't know anyone who would want to take it over at this point in time.

It was a fun contest to watch! But I don't know who would have the drive to do it every round. Most of the old enthusiastic participants have long since disappeared from mene.

I don't think it ever really had a very strong following either. It was often the same users competing round after round. I didn't know how to promote it better to the rest of the site, and no one seemed interested that I could get to introduce to it :\

@Seiki - maybe during an upcoming event you could do like...a mini-version of it...it would take only the few days of the event....participants join the first day and then there are only like...3 competitions or something and you just eliminate the appropriate amount of people each day until you narrow it down to the one winner...I feel like that's good promotion because it's reaching an audience that wouldn't normally ahve seen it.

But then - that's if you eventually wanted to start it back up again XD

I've tried advertising during events before by holding an avatar contest and explaining the overall contest to people, but it's never really stuck. I think it's because the contest lasts so long that people don't feel like they have time for it. I've considered doing a mini-version of it and just having like 5 contestants and 3-4 challenges, but I just don't think it would be as fun with a shorter cycle. There'd be less variety.

But I agree - a short version just isn't as fun and a long version is time consuming D:

So yeah, it's just hard to balance it so that it works for everyone. UP is very successful because it's not a contest. It's a poll basically, and it only takes a few minutes to nominate an outfit and vote for your favorites. I wish PM was that simple sometimes.
