Never heard of that... you learn something new everyday.

It's something you intentionally give to calf to make veal, which is sad and why I don't eat veal. But it can happen in adult cows if they're not properly cared for.

I guess I'm really impatient because I was JUST sick for two months straight with bronchitis. I was well for a week and then I got the flu. So I am way, way past ready to not be sick anymore.

Oooh, that really sucks, steelmagghia... I hope being sick that long hasn't affected your employment status! o.o

I took a pay hit the first month because I just couldn't work that often. The second month I tried to work through it and it was pure misery, then my dad forced me to go to the doctor (he had to pay because I have no insurance). I got an antibiotic and steroid shot and 10 days of ridiculously strong oral antibiotics. It was insane. I had a week's worth of reactions and had to cancel more jobs, but then, gloriously, I had a week of wellness. It was amazing, and beautiful. And then, BAM, flu.

Luckily with substitute teaching I can just take some time off. As long as I fulfill my four jobs a month quota or let my main supervisor know beforehand the reason I won't be able to.

Ohh, I'm glad. Employers hate it when you're sick for a long time. And hopefully you're on the upswing now!

Yeah, it definitely would NOT have been good were I in a different job. My too. I figure I'm do for a good six months of no more illnesses.
