Haha. Yeah, so it seems, huh?

The Circus was a user run event.
The summer carnival, was a site run event, I think.
Which later became Celes Paradi?

Or maybe it always was?

The Summer Carnival was the first user-run event. XD I think it was July 07.

I was a host for one of the contests actually. I can't quite remember, but I think it was an avatar contest. XP

The site was just starting out, and the devs thought it would be fun to make an item for the event, so that's how the carni pin was made. Things were way more random back then than they are now. We have a pretty set way of planning events and stuff now, and things are -much- more organized. :yes:

While there are possible Easter/St. Patrick's Day/Phoenix Jubilee events, it's never guaranteed, so Celes Paradi fills the long gap between Valentine's Day and Halloween. This seems like a good reason to have a summer event to me. XP Also, people are out of school, so we expect good attendance, and I'm sure that plays a part. :yes: We know you guys like events, and adding these fun "Menewsha holidays" gives the Event team fun stuff to do like plot storyline, make up the Menewsha zodiac and give Menewsha a history and mythology.

Hehe there is sure is loads of work and fun been put behind the event and the site xD

I'm sure it keeps the staff pretty busy, though

Things were always so hectic around events when I was on staff. XD That's been a long time, though, so I'm sure it's gotten much more organized.

Oh, I totally ran trivia during the Summer Carnival, and that's when I decided I'd never host trivia again. :lol: XP

:lol: Cami, things are always going to be hectic before events I think. But the EC team is quite organized and on its game compared to how things used to be done.

Oh gosh, I would never offer myself up to be a staff member for a forum again. It's not that it's necessarily hard work, or that the workload was too much; it was just dealing with the most hard-headed people that can wear you out the most.

It's as if someone always has a complaint for something, but no real solutions or the open-mindedness to be patient.


I hope to see many more fabulous avatars up there next round.
