Because I've seen a ton of good avatars and nobodies been able to nom for days, so... everyones going to just bombard the thread with their noms.

But even when there are a lot of nominations, there are so few votes...

Perhaps its the voting system. One thing I've learned long ago is that people don't like to go out of their way to do something that doesn't benefit them. Doesn't make them a bad person, its just human nature. Not all people are like that, but a lot are.

I started coming up with interesting voting techniques. Like if your vote won the person the contest, you got a prize too. Same for nomination. Not saying that anyone should change their threads or contests, just saying that if you want more, give more. Thats the way I've come to realize this world works. Its sad, but its true.

Thats how my contests used to run. It worked to a certain degree.

And it works, but for all the wrong reasons.
I'd hate to have to give out prizes just to get people to vote. T__T

Maybe...to support the people who always vote and always nom....for every 10 rounds in a row should get a prize?

I enjoy this one much more than Admin's Pick, because we all get to choose who wins and I'm always delighted with the victor. I enjoy feeling a part of that process.

Its true that nobody should have to be prized into voting and nomming. I agree with that completely. I just wish people weren't so... greedy. I would certainly nom and vote every week if I had the internet access to do so, but my time is already limited. I'll certainly be more active when I get the web in my house.

I agree. But a lot of us are using our sigs to advertise the UP, and we have seen an increase in the number of noms and people in here and stuff.

I mean, I admit I don't always vote.

Greed is human nature, such as the need to protect ones self if they are in danger, reguardless of what it could mean for someone else. When it comes down to it, instinct drives a person to fend for themselves.

Subconciously, a person is greedy because its in their nature to be.

You'd think that people would vote because it is just a simple look and Pm process. I think I usually vote.
