I love the man, I really do. He's a sweet guy, but he can just be a handful. I mean, he's one of those typical old men that you see on movies that are grumpy about everything and complain non-stop and say how sucky everything new is. It just gets hard to listen to him say nothing but negative things and not just enjoy something.

Mhmm. That I knew, but I kind of forgot to take it into consideration. It probably is the problem.
I've been falling asleep early, and not getting out of bed until late. I should force myself to get up early. My dad and grandpa wont be home tomorrow, but my mom will. Maybe I can get her to help me clean and get more organized. I finally cleared out enough of a shelf of a closet in our hallway to make it start to become a pantry. It was supposed to be a pantry, I believe, but my mom shoved a bunch of crap in there, so its just been these mounds of junk. I've been working away at it, though, and now have a bunch of cans and boxes in there. Quite proud of myself. ^^

I used to get miserable and complain about everything.
I don't do it nearly as much now, and I'm a LOT happier.
Just a little change made a big difference and I simply FIND less to complain about too, which in turn leaves me happier.

I know that I tend to be a complainer, so I think its a bit hypocritical of me to be upset about his complaining, but I think that I at least enjoy the beauty of things.
I enjoy many things, and openly state it. I love nature and animals, and constantly state that when need be. I'm usually a rather happy person and am affectionate. But I just get grumpy easily, and thats when I complain more.

Well, he's been this way as long as i've known him.
He was a bit chipper for awhile. After my grandmother died, he bought a harley and started kind living his life more. Went on rides with my dad and uncle and had fun with them, but he's always been a rather slow and grouchy man. He's one of those people that drives slow, and I remember that I went on a bike ride with them once, and he road waaaaay far back. We had to stop a few times and wait for him to catch back up. Was irritating a bit.

Haha. I think its just because i've had spare time and nothing to do. I get trapped at home, my friends never want to do anything, and i'm stuck in a small town with nothing to do and no way to get over to the far towns with things to do. ><;; And organizing and cleaning seems to be the best way for me to have fun and occupy my time, and still help benefit others.

@ Su : I see. :x Well, it doesn't mean he can't be a bit happier though. ^^;; Although for the life of me I dunno how to help with that, sorry. :x I only have one living grandfather left (my dad's dad), and he's a very interesting man, and very unique, so I can't say I have any experience. xDD;;

Hmm... how about jogging though? =O Or trying to find an inexpensive hobby you could do at home?

I truly wish I could help him, but talking to him about stuff just become useless. He hates the technology in new movies just because its something new and he grew up with the old old stuff. So you try to get him to watch great movies, but all he does is hate on the affects. :< And his interests are not the same as mine. It really does get hard to talk to him.

lol I just get lazy on and off. I have so many hobbies I need to work on, but my drive to do anything lately has just kind of died. My spirit feels a little broken. I really think it might be from having no down time like I use to. I mean, having my grandpa over whenever my dad is home is really getting to me. I can seriously get close to nothing done if he is here. Everything has to be put on hold. I even feel guilty just coming on the computer.
