Oh were you trying to set up a thread, Seiki? You could swap posts with your mule & main. O:
I know it'd be a pain, but you could organize the thread so posts with your mule wouldn't be the ones needing tons of editing. O: !

No, I didn't need to set up a thread. I was trying to bump up my exchange haha. It landed on the second page and I was trying to bring it back up so that users would see it but it just edited my posts.
Now that the override is available though, I see no need to worry about the auto-merge so it doesn't matter now haha.

I was with Seiki on that
I was very anti-this plan. lol Not sure what to call it.
Just hoping that nooblets dont take advantage and dont learn that they're not supposed to double-post. But I suppose it has no meaning anymore since its not possible.

Well even if they tried to double post 80 times, the merge feature would prevent them from doing so anyways. And then they would stop earning gold once the post had enough characters to get to 20g in the first place haha.

People take avatar rates WAY too personally.
I rate everyone's avatar low (and almost always make suggestions) unless I LOVE it.
I honestly don't think I've given out a 10 in months of not a YEAR.
Most of the rates I give out are 0s-5s.

I would just ignore them. You're offering people your opinion of their avatar. Just because they love it doesn't mean that you're going to, and you shouldn't have to feel bad because people don't like what you've told them. That should be a disclaimer for ratings haha. Don't ask if you don't want to know.

I DON'T feel bad.
I'm just pissed because she friggen flipped out on me for no good reason.
If I called her avatar an ugly piece of shit, then she'd be totally in the right and she could yell at me 'til her throat bleeds.
But for giving it a two because it's the same avatar she's had /forever/ and I'm getting tired of it and I'm getting tired of how imbalanced it is and not seeing a single change for the better?
Just, grr. :c
That's rude.
</end rant.>

Well, 5 is pretty low still, and most people will take offense because it sounds like they're being called ugly
But as long as you dont use any offense wording or sound like you're being rude, then they should probably just take it as constructive criticism. But some people just take things too seriously.
But I do know that I dont appreciate if people rate me and are very rude about their rates. Dont you just hate when that happens? The ones that just bash on you are so messed up, and I see it happen to other people all the time. I guess it just proves that people suck and you should take what they have to say with a grain of salt.
@ Seiki - I was confused as to what the gray dashes were for until it was brought up. ><;;
I didn't know it was doing that when it merged them, so I thought people were just being weird. lol
EDIT: Aah. It drives me nuts, too, when someone has the same avatar for a very long time.

She ended up rating my avatar and gave me a 7 /but/ competently nitpicked it. I disagree with some points, agree with others, I think she was just trying to "get me back". So, I'm just going to lol and move on after this post. She wants to play "war" then okay, cool have fun, bro.
And I really don't think I was rude, unless, giving a two because I consider it a two, is rude. Honestly, if you wanna see what happened, look just check the rate the avatar above you thread.
>____>" Tell me if you think I was rude when I was rating her. Please, so next time I know how to not politely offer advice/my opinion.

@ monstah - I read what she said, and I dont think she was getting back at you with her rate
It sounded like genuinely what she felt
Hmm. Well, your words weren't rude, but I do feel that the 2 was way too low, and that in itself can be considered an insult. But it was your own views, and she didn't necessarily nead to lash out, but everyone takes things different. I can understand both sides.
I've had people not like that I use so many layers on some of my avi. Do you remember my black/red/orange/yellow avi that I had with the wig awhile ago? Someone totally bashed that because they thought it was stupid with so many layers and just said a lot of stuff more that I dont recall. But I ignored them, because I liked it.
@ seiki - I post in stuff like that less and less, too.
I like to give constructive criticism because I enjoy helping people improve, and I like to get consctructive criticism, because I stare at mine so long that I dont know what to think of it anymore, and people can suggest some really good ideas, I think.
But sometimes people take it waay too far.
Like themed avis get crap ratings, usually. And if you have just something slightly off, they say it ruins things or you need to change it. Like take your current avi. I bet at least someone would point out the green sticking out past the nurses hat and mark you down for it even though its hardly noticeable and the avi still looks great. Stuff like that drives me nuts in those things, especially when its something so small. I can understand if its bigger and totally stands out, though.

I like to rate avatars but I'm really "harsh" because most just don't WOW me.
My rate system;
If it lacks a wow factor, but it's nice, you won't ever get above a 7.
If it's close but not perfect, you'll get an 8, maybe a 9.
Perfect + fantastic wow factor + original = 10
0 = terrible, probably common and boring. most likely black/white or black/white/red.
1 = the above, but slightly less common.
2 = the above or any of the following; had it a long time, neglects to change it ever, unbalanced, unappealing, boring. can also be a good avatar with several points that just completely RUINS it.
3-4 = good avatar with one to several bad points that irk me, likely unorignal, but with a slight flare or possibly in just colours i like but it's not that great.
5 = it's okay, but likely bland and unbalanced.
6 = getting there, but not yet a wow factor.
Or something, it varies, but that's just how I'd describe it off the top of my head.
Su - Yes and no. I can understand some points, but, she was really nitpicking and not offering any suggestions. If I nitpick I usually have an idea on how I could make it better, and usually suggest it.

Your layering is very interesting and you use red as an accent colour more than a main colour.
So, no not really. ;3
Probs a 6-8.

Haha. I like the nurse outfit, too, Seiki. I think its rather original.
Eh. I think a lot of my avis are rather uniquely themed and I tend to match decently well with my avis, but I get a lot of people that just toally nitpick everything and give me super low ratings
I, personally, will treat people like they treat me on here. If they rate me really rudely and overly judge everything, then I do the same thing. If they say rude things on the "which avatar do you prefer" thread, then I treat them with the same hostility usually, unless I find their avi nice.
You usually stick with your avis for a very long time, too, monstah, so I dont understand why I judge so low for that.

^^;; Not usually. I stick to them for a week maximum. Except if I'm on hiatus. Then I keep them longer because I'm simply not around to change them.
And, by a long time, I mean, I don't mean a week or two.
I mean I can't remember a time when they haven't had that avatar.
I also alter them here and there based on ratings and advice.
But until today, I'd NEVER seen her change her avatar.
