Okay, now that I look at what everyone else is doing, I think I may be taking this too literally. But it's a -cosplay- for heaven's sake. I think the character needs to be pretty evident when looking at the avatar.

heh. Okay good! I was hoping I wasn't being too literal. I just have an issue with cosplays that don't look like the character they're supposed to represent. XD

I liked the Tigra because it is a representation of Africa -- Kwame's background and all that. XD The lion looked even more silly. XP I'll see what I can do about adding some blue at the bottom. I've got an idea already.

Guys, I think I might use my extension privileges this time around... ^^;;

You see, I have a term paper, two other essays, a written report, and a Math test all on March 31. And, well, as much as I would want to focus on making the cosplay, I find it hard to squeeze it in amidst the stuff I have to do. ^^;;

After that, I only have around a day or two finish my entry. 8DD;; So, I dunno if I can make it, honestly. ^^;; Imma try my best though. :> If not, well, I can use my extension...? 8DD;;

Good news is that I'm one with... both essays. xDD;; 3/4th done with the term paper, and I'm currently studying for the Math test. :>

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that you guys would go for more direct approaches with your entries this round, but I left it open for you to change them up a bit if you wanted.

Seriously though Sizz, your Kwame is really good. I understand why you have the Tigra, but it still bothers me as a whole.

EDIT! Envision the Yelow Space Skirt there. Might have to Photoshop since I has no moolah to spend for 500g tiny skirts just yet. ^^;;

The Georgia Peach is a good way to represent the shirt, even if it's more orange than green. xDD;;

wish I could say I wouldn't find a literal cosplay incredibly boring but I kinda would... the outfits are just so simple, I like the idea of basing an outfit around the original design and adding to it with items that symbolize the element a lot more, it's a lot more fun

I did try to keep the basic design the same, with the green shirt, red shorts and sneakers but then add other items with symbolic meanings like the panda and the plant items representing Ma-Ti's power with animals and affinity with the rainforest

My only problem with direct cosplay for this is that the characters are all dressed so similarly and simply.

that was my thought too... we'd all be wearing very simple outfits with many of the same items... it's more fun to design and updated or symbolic look, I'd imagine it'd be more fun to judge too xD
