The only thing my town has ever had is -I shit you not- an Elvis museum/quikmart. But it closed.
We also had a Big Boys restaurant, which are sort of iconic, but apparently it was unsanitary, so it got shut down too.
And... we... have... uh........ a cemetery? A highschool? That's about it.

My hometown had a Big Boy restaurant for about a year. I swear the location was cursed. There was a different restaurant there every year or two, despite being right next to both a hotel and a highway.

I live in Boston now, though, so there's all kinds of stuff to visit. We spent six hours wandering through places we go all the time, and yet had never noticed most of the stuff the book talked about.

Isn't it weird seeing all the things you never notice even when you live there? XD
