Nah, it's not too stressful -- I've actually been enjoying my time away from the computer, which is a good thing. Summer seems to pep me up a bit. :D

I had boyfriend weekend from Friday until Monday night, then yesterday I got to see my sister (who I only see twice a year or so) and my mom. And tonight after work I'm going to hang out with my old synchro duet partner who I've missed very much. XP So yeah, good times! :D

Allison was my favorite too, but I was glad Teyona won. She also improved throughout the cycle, she had the best picture overall, and she certainly wanted it far more than anyone else did. She deserved to win.

It's not like Allison isn't going to have a successful career. She'll do great.

I agree.
Though Teyona has made some fine,even stunning pictures (except I truly don't like the last pictures she made with tiara), to me her look wasn't all that great. I mean, she's beautiful, but not all too memorable. Not in comparison to Allison that is.
But maybe that's also just it.. Maybe Allison can only play in a certain niche in the modeling business, unique look, eternal youth - while Teyona can be at home on all markets

I truthfully think that if you go through both of their portfolios, Teyona had better pictures then Allison. Allison had a great look, sure, but it took her too long to learn how to use it. I appreciate that the show is judged on skill and overall performance.

Teyona wanted it SO much more possibly, but I feel Allison has the better talent.

I agree. The only reason I watched America's Next Top Model are for the parts where you actually learned about modeling/the art produced. (As they go beyond merely photos.) That stuff is inspiring. The reality television When Models Attack and mini-games shit is why I stopped making the effort.

I think I started losing interest when Lluvy (sp?) from one of the early seasons was blasted for her Zodiac picture. They kept blasting her for looking like a 'dead fish', which wasn't fair. They tossed her in a net and put really disgusting make-up on her. With her large eyes and poofed lips, of course she most resembled a fish, but it wasn't that she was a bad model - it was the costume and make-up did nothing for her.

I do think they intentionally skew the results. You cannot tell me that the photos they select as the "best" from the shoots are always actually The Best. Why not let the models choose? Even if it's only from ten.

You know, I've also sometimes found one photos not deserving of the praise the judges give, even if that doesn't happen so often. ^^;; But hmm, letting the models choose would be interesting indeed. =O Of course, they wouldn't be the superior judge/s that dictate who stays and who goes, but it would definitely be interesting to see their views on their photos, instead of just accepting everything that the judges dictate (not that the judges are wrong in their views, but they're not the ultimate gauge of what is nice and what isn't, is all xDD). :>

I also agree that some of the pictures they choose are weak. I'd be more interested in seeing the models pick their 'best shots' too. I think that'd put an interesting spin on it. :D

I dunno, I wanted to see Allison win because she was so different than the normal winners. But I do agree that it took her a long time to produce different looks. At the beginning, she was giving the same face all the time. It wasn't until the end that she started getting better. But I think that kind of quick improvement says a lot about her capabilities as a model.

Anywaysssss. :lol: Yeah, ANTM is sorta lame. I quit watching it a couple of seasons ago. I dunno why I decided to watch the last season. Maybe because there's nothing else on TV that night? And I love the CW. XP

I think I've decided to hold off on judging the next cycle, and perhaps apply for the one after that. I hope that I'm a bit busier this summer -- or at least make myself busier so that I'm not constantly on the internet. XP

Well, yeah, ANTM gets a little lame and repetitive once you watch it straight, but, I still enjoy it a lot. =P Maybe it's just because I love watching reality shows in general, but it'd be nice to put an interesting spin to it with the "models' pick". ^^;;

And yeah, I think I won't apply for judging for this next cycle as well. ^^;; Since my semester is starting this June, I dunno yet how busy I will be, so, maybe I'll just withhold myself till I can gauge how my semester is gonna go. xDD;;

Besides, we seem to have more judges than contestants now? =O

It'd be cool if they chose BEST shots and WORST shots for the models to see.

The last cycle of ANTM was lackluster compared to some of the previous seasons.
I didn't have a favorite while watching the first few episodes, so I skipped around

Yeah, Allison is creepy looking, but that's what makes her unique. Those scary buggy eyes remind me of my BFF -- her eyes also look like that. :lol:
