Thank you Cora

Hmm... I tried to get Mrs. Potato head by adding the purse, and the wild hat. I tried to make it as much layers as possible to represent all the possibilities.

I am trying to think how to make it more mrs potato head.

I'm no Seiki, but I think tops should be sleeveless, and I'm surprised you guys can use socks, since you don't see them on potato heads. I don't think there needs to be picky rules, just use your own best judgment based on how potato heads look [google image if you don't know].

That really is a valid point. The origonal potato heads where just shoes...they didn't have legs.

I'm trying this challenge for fun, lol. I wonder what I'll come up with. xP

Haha, I think I may have are idea. Is, what l get from the challenge description we do not need to make it look like the Potatoes heads, just represent them in the interchangeable style.

I was wondering about this one.
The Potato family's teenage daughter.
She's supposed to come with interchangable scene-kid accessories, such as bandanas, shoes, etc.

This is mostly non-traditional, though.
I'll work on a Mrs. Potatohead as well.

Thats cute Silver, the colors go together nicely. I think theres too much white in the middle, but thats just me being picky.

Winter- you do have a point, I do imagine this challenge, as with most, is up to interpretation.

Yeah, I was thinking about scrapping it for a hat, and adding pink hair instead.
Or I might just go with something more traditional. XD

I'm going to go very minimalist and literal with this one.
I was considering doing NO clothes (only the kinds of accessories a true potato head would have) and buying bra and panties to match my skin tone.
What I want to know, though, is would you judges get rly... "YOU HAVE NO CLOTHES ON 1/10" or would you be able to appreciate how literal it is and not detract for that if I was creative with what little I used? ><

Okay ^^

Uhmm, could you guys please look at my WIP? ><;

I decided to take the Potato-head bit literally and added in round shapes in the slippers and the heads. I did a more interpretive representation of the theme, instead of cosplay, I made a free, fun avatar. The bright colours and ruffles represent freedom...kind of. DX I know the blue bit on the head is detracting, I'm working on that now, but I wanted some comments now, if possible? <3

I actually was shocked Eserel. I mean, if it was short socks, i wouldn't have been as shocked, but the tube socks shocked me.

Cherry, I was thinking about doing that as well if I were a contestant.
I can say for certain that I wouldn't mark you down for such.
Though I would expect it to be up to par with those wearing clothes.

kemii, I think it's alright so far, though some of those item combos are very overused. I'd like to see the blue incorporated also.

@ Donna - Updated the avatar with a hat/new hair instead of the tiara.
Also debated about using the bangles.

I would prefer socks to be the short socks; tube length is too long.

I decided to give you guys a few more options as far as what I was willing to let you do with the potato head challenge specifically because I knew that without a few extra goodies, there wouldn't really be much you could do at all. If I wanted to be super specific, I would have said you would only be allowed to do the head and feet, but that's kind of hard to do for an avatar contest. What I want from you guys, is bare arms and legs. Shorts/pants/skirts should not reach the knee. Sleeves should be kept short; probably basic tee length. No gloves, no stockings. You can do whatever you want with the torso/neck/head. But I wanted the arms and legs to be kept bare for a reason as you don't ever get items to put there on the potato head toys.

I will allow bracelets, just so long as they're small. Same goes with the escort leg guards. Regular leg warmers will not be allowed (they're too large).

Also, the goal of this challenge is to capture the spirit of the toy, while emulating the variety of looks you can play with by switching up the different parts. I'm not asking for a direct cosplay. This is kind of an interpretive challenge, but at the same time, I want it to be literal enough that you would know it was Mr. Potato Head. If you need to, look up pictures and send them in as reference images with your finished entry.

I couldn't go completely literal. Couldn't do it. >< Not enough to work with.
Oh well. I'm still going to keep it minimalist.

Hmm.
So would you prefer us to make Mr./Mrs. Potato Heads, or could I possibly created their "spud"? (Daughter.)
