I like where you're going with the really basic/literal version actually, but since this an avatar contest, I'm tempted to tell you to actually make an outfit for Mrs. Potato Head, even though she doesn't normally wear one. I think being too literal is going to be an issue with this particular challenge, even though that's what it calls for pretty much.

And how's about using the baldilocks instead of the oogly afro?? XP

Oh definitely. But maybe more green on the top half. I'd say a necklace, but I'm not sure there's a good one in the color. Maybe a hairpin or something.

The problem with hairpins is that hat is on the hairpin layer. D: And a regular hat is too much. I tried a necklace though. *points to her edit*

The necklace doesn't look as bad as I thought that one would, but I don't like how it covers up the top so much.

I personally prefer using what is given, but I think photoshop can help in some circumstances.
