When I was a freshman in high school, a senior on the track team with great grades apparently succumbed to the stress and came to school completely naked. <<,, With no apparent idea of why that was wrong.

@ slow : Woah, intense. o_o;; Whatever happened afterward though, if I may ask? =O
@ Cami : Wow, another intense story. o_o;; Although, pressure to get good grades has turned many a student crazy. :x Hell, last year there were 6 suicides in this one university alone because of the pressure to get good grades. Also mainly because of philosophy classes, where the teacher questioned his students' reason for existence. @ [email protected];; And then some people just snapped, leading to 3 of the 5 suicides I previously mentioned. :x Not a lot is known about it though, since it's been kept quiet. >.>;;

@ryry
well... she got together with my ex, alienated most of her friends, tried to spread rumours about me, got found out for taking art from deviantart and telling people it was hers, dumped my ex because he didn't say she looked nice at a party and further alienated her friends... now she's overseas somewhere and she's coming back here to go to the same university as me next year :/

Yeah...suicide is often caused by those obsessed with good grades....
@slow- I knew someone like that....crazy in a sense and anti social without realizing they are. They push away people who come close to them.

@cora
exactly. It seemed like she was angry at a new person every week, and for no reason at all. She used to be one of my best friends, but she's constantly in need of attention so she's always inventing dramas in order to push people away and try to get sympathy and support from everyone else. It's ridiculous, but she and her two horrible friends did their best to make my last two years of high school a living hell. Which was just great fun for me...

High school is just a catty time in general. Everyone tries to make everyone else's life hell at some point in time.

You know how if you wear an ill-fitting button-up shirt, how it'll poke out along the button line? Maybe since you had your arms raised and back like that to put your hair up, it stretched your shirt and made that happen.
@highschool/university horror stories - DDDDDDD:
Being homeschooled, I pretty much avoided all of that hell. This one girl I know (who is also homeschooled, but actually has a social life, unlike me. xD) tried to suck me into it, though. She was always telling me about all the drama shit that was going on and venting about how frustrated or upset she'd be. She'd say drama was awful, but she did so much to fuel it. >> And then she'd want to do something stupid, but would want my advice, so I'd tell her it was stupid (in nicer terms) and she'd agree with me, and then do it anyway and then call me to complain about how everything went bad because she did whatever it was. >>
At the time she pretty much only called me if something was going on, but that was frequently. Now she only talks to me when there is absolutely no one else to talk to (and she even says as much and doesn't seem to get how mean that is) and she's bored. >> Dooooon't really like her so much.

I'm not sure I really participated in high school drama. /tries to remember her high school self/
I went to all of my schooling, kindgergarten through twelfth grade with the same people, so everyone kind of knew each other. I was bullied by one girl in junior high, and had several other people in seventh grade decide that we couldn't be friends anymore because I wasn't cool enough, but we all kind of got over it in high school.
I wasn't in the popular crowd, but I wasn't a reject either. The popular people knew who I was and were friendly enough to me, we just weren't hey lets go hang out or eat lunch together friends.
All in all, while I wouldn't look back on high school as the best time of my life, I had no real issues with it. I wasn't in a hurry to go to college. I didn't hate my parents. I had friends. No one picked on me (at least not much). It was okay.

I would have to say that I was kind of in the middle of my class. I wasn't popular, but I wasn't the loser. Good news for me though, was that I was able to fit in with the popular kids if I wanted to because I knew most of them, and then the same with the more secluded people at my school. It was always amusing when I would be hanging out with a more popular person at school and then pass by one of the more quiet people and say hello and have the popular person be all like "You know that person?" and I'd be all "Yeah, her name is so and so and she's in your such and such class". I was a good student for getting people to meet others they wouldn't normally talk to. And that was saying something since my graduating class was close to 800 people.
I had a few tiffs with people in school though. They were over stupid things though.

I can luckily say I've never been in any physical fights. I've slapped a few people, but not seriously. Just being silly.
I'm pretty non-confrontational. I don't like being two-faced, so it's not like I'll pretend I like someone I hate, but I'll be polite enough but just generally avoid someone I don't like. Unless they've done something bad, there's really no reason to cause a stink.

I've been slapped a couple of times. XD
One I can't really even explain why since I turned around and some kid I'd never met before slapped me across the face. Maybe it was an accident, but how does that happen, seriously? I scared the crap out of him though since I grabbed him by the shirt, pulled him close, and said, "If you ever touch me again, I'll have your ass suspended!"
This was back in 7th grade, so that was some serious stuff for a girl like me to say. :lol:

Lol, not really. I just took my mom's advice and said something intimidating back to anyone if they gave me crap so I wouldn't get picked on in middle school. It worked since I really only had to do it once each time and it totally blew guys away when a little girl said the stuff I spouted. XD
It didn't work on girls though. One trimester I was being picked on by a bunch of big 8th grade girls who used dirty low-blow tactics, so instead one day I just started bawling in front of everyone else in the gym who started staring at them and they left me alone after that. Good times.

I tried the fighting back thing when I was in junior high, but I just got laughed at.
When I was punched, it was because I accidentally hit a girl with my bag, while spinning around and yelling at her because she had just grabbed some of my change that had fallen on the ground.

In my case I was lucky since I wasn't ever picked on by people a lot strong than me physically, except for those girls in PE. In the earlier instances, talking big worked and when that failed (which it did once), I just shouldered the guy out of my way and walked over him off the bus. XD

See, I never had to do any of that. If peoples teasing got towards the point I found unacceptable I either "pwned" them as everyone called it when I opened my mouth and shocked them by talking back, or just gave them one good glare. xD No one really picked on me and everyone kind of knew me. o.0;; It was kind of weird, but it has been that way with me since elementary school. I got along with every crowd and had friends in pretty much every crowd. and if anyone ever talked bad about me, a stop was put to it pretty quickly.
And I was not really a popular person. I didn't seek friends, I just got them somehow. xD

I was lucky. For most of the time, no one dared mess with me. And when the straggling few didn't get the message, I ruined their reputations. :]

You sound like my friend Melissa, Donna. People just knew not to mess with her because she would get them back worse than they got her in the first place, and if they did bother her, she pretty much tore them down afterwards. I think she's probably a big reason people chose not to mess with me through high school.
