I like it, Slow. It's my favorite of all the outfits you've shown. I do wish there were something on your back arm (perhaps a blue or green gumball bracelet?), but that's it.

Hime: I also think your posted one is a better mermaid and is the best fit for this challenge, but I quite like your current outfit.

I think I like it as-is, Slow. You ahve a pretty good mix of colors, and it all works together. I wish you could put more on the back arm, but there really isn't much that goes just onto that arm, is there?

I've played with having a white wrap on that arm, but it layers over the bracelet and it doesn't really fit with the theme anyway

and I think I prefer your siren one to the one you posted... the new one feels a bit boring because it only has white and gold, it's not as interesting

Anthony: I'm glad you found a use for that skirt. I saw it and I was all "AH! MERMAID TAIL!" but couldn't think of a way to work it. That said, I'm not a fan of dichromatic avis.

Slow: Nice! I'd say ditch the bone belt for something a bit more silver.

hmm... with the bone belt it's a bit of a battle between colour and theme, because she's supposed to be the queen of a tribe of warrior merpeople who lure people to their deaths for fun, so she's wearing the bones of one of her victims... but then again, the bright white might look a bit out of place since the bits on the skirt are more silvery blue than bright white :/

and I don't reeeeally want to start adding in silver, since gold is such a prominent colour in the rest of the avatar

Anthy: I actually prefer the white and gold one myself. XD I think it looks more like a mermaid than the other. (And I was also waiting for someone to use that tail.) Though maybe you should put on the puddle, blue socks, and maybe a blue background to make it look like the feet aren't there.

I ended up turning in the Siren. I saw the skirt as a tail aaaaaages ago, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work. xD The only comment I got beforehand was that it was too few colors, and I hadn't been able to add colors in a way that didn't make it look cluttered, so.

sooo my one last thing before entering this is whether I should keep the bone belt or get rid of it... it's there for the theme, but it doesn't fit perfectly with the colour balance... so, opinions?

I personally do not mind the belt, mostly because I know what it's there for. But if the colour balance is really bothering you, I would suggest the mariachi belt. I know you mentioned you wish not to include silver, however. *rubs chin*

Just a random thought but I think Iro has some spiffy artwork in his siggy.

I've already used a darker green on the top than the blue/green on the skirt, and really, why would a tribal mermaid warrior queen care whether the bones of her victims match the colours of her tail xD

lol my collection of mene art is deplorable...but over the 6 years I was on gaia, the couple years on magivolve I have grown to have quite a bit of artwork....when I went to look at my collection just now I realized I need more mene art, so thats what I am currently doing....art shopping xP

I never had enough motivation to go art hunting in Gaia, although I do have a collection sitting in my folders, collected from an art guild I was in. As much as I like some of the artists, the community left much to be desired. It just leaves a bad taste at times. >.>

And anyway, I didn't have much for them to draw then except my avatar. My OC list of references and an array of Mene avatars only came to light recently this past year. xD

lol, mine are mostly of my OC's which I have a large aray of. (Considering I am in the midst of writting a book xP)

but yeah as for gaia....my heart isn't in it anymore and a while back I left and gave all my stuff to various artists to get artwork done for me. Now I hardly ever go on anymore....I feel gaia sold its soul....which I hope mene never does.

I think my entire inventory is not even worth more than 2 million. Then again, I already lost touch with the marketplace there for two years, I'm not too sure how much my inventory is worth. I have two mules storing part of my items in each in case any of them were banned for some particular reason. :/

Wow, that is a really lovely piece. The composition is nice and the mood is conveyed well.
Mostly, I like how the lighting is done for that piece. ^^

My all time favourite piece is displayed in my OC Art Request thread right where my first OC is listed. xD
My friend was in a bit of a financial trouble then, so I sort of 'commissioned' her to draw it, gave her a little tip for her troubles. ; )
