lol, before I got pissed and gave my stuff to artists my inventory was worth a pretty penny, I had most of the 03 stuff (except the halo....though I did have one at one time) my inventory now would be laughable if its even worth 100k

And wow I live the angle the person took for that piece its not easy to pull off that the person watching is slightly above the other person .

I started late 04, but never paid attention to the items or marketplace AT ALL until early 06. Even then, earning gold was a difficult job for me because I was occupied with rl and couldn't grasp the concept of marketplace profit maximisation then, relying solely on posts and polls. xD

Yeah, I was very happy with how it turned out, it's really a beautiful piece, and I still feel the tip I gave her wasn't enough. But she wouldn't take more from me. ^^;
I've not spoken to her in a while, I hope she's doing okay with her work.

Lol, it's pretty much the same here. My inventory was well worth over 11mil; most of the stuff earned through betting in one of the casino's there c:
It was fun, but scammers and a turn of luck made me lose most of my invo there, and so now I'm worth approx 100k. I try to save that money to buy art from my favorite artist over there. c:

Slow and Iro: I thought Seiki said she wasn't going to post descriptions unless she asked for them this season.

Yes, Seiki did say she will not post the descriptions unless she asked for them, but there is no harm for a just in case. :yes:

@Iro: You're calling Seiki a girl too? XD

I personally would like some descriptions on a challenge such as this since there's a lot of ways you could interpret the themes.

That was an accident, I swear. xD
My brain went to auto she-mode when I was typing the post.

Ferra: The second one, sure, but all the first ones is for the avatars to look like merpeople. The judges should be able to see that without an explanation, and if they can't then the avatar failed.

@Iro: Lol, auto-she mode, eh? I was just surprised since I swore you knew Seiki was a he.

@Allan: True, but there are various interpretations for merfolk out there, so I'd like to know what particular aim they were going for. I don't want people to explain "well I chose this item for this and this for this" so much as just a hint towards their ultimate goal.

I also like explanations for most avatars, just so I know what people are intending with their avatars... I think a lot of the mermaid entries don't necessarily come of as mermaids right off the bat/at first glance. So I like it if I get an explanation of why they did what they did -- it makes it easier for me to visualize their goal, as Ferra said.

@Ferra:
I do know Seiki is a he. My brain borked. I corrected the first she to "Seiki" after realising my 'mistake' but forgot about the rest. xD

lol, I always find it funny when people refer to Seiki as she xD

yeah, there are quite a few different interpretations of 'mermaid'
it would be fine if everyone made a disney version of a mermaid, but there have been a lot of different, interesting types that I've seen in progress

On the topic of Seiki:

I actually did not know Seiki was a he until people began to talk about it. xD But I suppose, it's silly to make an assumption, considering my *name* is Anthony. Ha ha. Still, without knowing Seiki, I go by the avatar, because I am not familiar enough with a name like "Seiki" to know if it is a male or female name.

I don't think it really matters anyway. XD I'm female, but you guys are welcome to call me he as much as you want--won't bother me.

It seriously took me a good minute to think of something semi manly to add after flexes. I was like, eats large sandwiches?

I feel like it's much easier to come up with stereotypical female behaviors. XD Maybe I'm just braindead though.
