That sounds good to me, Hime! =O <3<3
I've attended a few leadership seminars that are resume-able (lulz xDD), and I am members of a few organizations (a head of one department in one), so yeah, hopefully. ^^;; I have no real job experience though, sadly. D: Which is a big downer. :x </3
And why is Hime bored? D: <3<3

My job experience is limited to babysitting ( I sat on them babies GOOD, 'kay? :/ ) and work study, as a teacher's assistant. I couldn't do it this semester thanks to schedule changes...
Darrell looks delicious *_*
And no resume for me..I'm building one in class tomorrow.. XD

Slow: I think the staff is perfect for Dionysus, but the combination of the staff and the wine glass is a bit odd.

I really should update my resume, but I haven't needed to in quite a while (lucky me?)
Also, a lot of the stuff I apply for online doesn't call for a resume, but wants you to use their forms in their format.
I usually keep a list of boss's names & numbers to help me fill out forms, since that tends to be more useful to me.

I've finally given up on keeping my resume one page long. I've struggled to do so by cutting things out every time I did something new for years, but I've reached the limit and let it sneak onto two pages.

I noticed the layering first, I swear! ;~;
I don't have much to put on my resume, so keeping it short won't be all that difficult..>_>;

Having a one-page resume is important though. It's likely that no one reads past the first page... You've gotta catch and impress them early on. :)
I love my resume. It's simplistic, but stylish at the same time. I haven't had to update it for three years now though... It could probably use some tweaking.

Could you PM me an example? I'm first-generation college-goer so no one in my family has one and I need a nice point of reference DX

Sizz: I think it depends on what kind of job you're applying for. When I'm applying for a marketing position, I really want people to know about my extensive social media training, my three internships, and my variety of contract work.

I don't have one that I could send you unfortunately, as mine is at home, but there are all kinds of resume examples all over the internet.

Sure, that's totally reasonable. But this is a reason start a portfolio if you don't have one already, where you can actually show off the work you've done. Short resume, long portfolio. AND, if your internships aren't that recent, those would be the things I'd remove first.

On top of my one-page resume, I also have a large portfolio of my work, which I think is actually more important than the resume itself. :yes:

@sizzla- I couldn't agree more, the portfolio tells them more about how you would do in the workplace then the actual resume.

Sizz you should totally post your resume xD
and by post your resume, I mean "turn all of the content into what it would look like if you were Mr. Mayor so you don't have to give out personal info but we still have a purdy template to get ideas from" :ninja:
Maybe I'll put mine up later?

Sizz: I have a more detailed portfolio with examples of my work as well.
My issue is that most of my marketing experience is in fields other than publishing, but my marketing internships are in publishing, so when I apply for a publishing job, I want to include both.
Someone I once interviewed with asked for information on all of my experience in internet and social media marketing, and what I sent to him was over four pages long.

Ah, I see the problem... You have TOO MUCH experience. :lol: As if that's possible! XP I just tend to let go of my oldest stuff (old internships mostly) and just keep a one-page resume. And if they want to ask for more information, I'd be happy to give it to them. Not that I would have four pages worth. O_O Overachiever!

I could probably fill two pages with relevant experience, but I don't really even know what I want to do when I get out of school still :lol:
Right now I'm crossing my fingers for Americorps. I finally finished my application last week (after nearly a month of working on it and kicking my references to finish writing their... references). I don't really even care where I get placed, I just really want to do it. I wish I had time right now to volunteer at an animal shelter, but I'm afraid that once I commit to it I'll get super busy with schoolwork and have to drop it :sweat:
