What do the mad hatter's pants look like? All of the images seem to be of his top half. (I'm specifically looking at teh Johnny Depp version)

In other news...
<--- not-completely-accurate-but-in-the-spirit-of Alice?
I know it's kind of a cliche and maybe the most obvious choice, but I've always loved Alice and her character design in the Disney movie... she was always my favourite so I wanted to at least give it a go ^^
@Cami: I'm pretty sure the challenge is for a cosplay specifically of the 1951 Disney version...

@Cami:
I can't say for sure. But I always assumed it to be long black or dark gray pants, possibly pinstriped.

Seriously?
I honestly hate that it's a cosplay challenge to begin with. If it's also only of one version, then that allows for absolutely no creativity. :/

I am aware it's a cosplay challenge, but I am veering off doing a 100% cosplay and including other adaptations as well as my own take on the characters. There is no way to manage a 100% accurate cosplay for most of the characters, I'm sure a little leeway for self-improvisation's allowed.

Cosplays can be creative... ._.; There's more than just portraying the outfit. There's also giving the character personality, and items that maybe they don't carry on their person on a regular basis but give it a bit more "umph".
And yes, the version is the 1951 version.

in the challenge post it says to cosplay any of the characters from the 1951 version...
anyway, I do wish there was some leeway with being more in the spirit of the character than completely accurate :/
in any case, he wears light green pants and dark green shoes in the 1951 version
also, a bright orange coat xD

I'd much rather make my own version of the mad hatter (or any other character) than see how I can make items match references from the movie. I want to design outfits, not do my best to copy outfits someone else designed sixty years ago.

I prefer the previous white and blue layering for the skirt previously. The top's just off for me. The revealing part, at least. xD
If I'm not mistaken, there's a white apron in the shops. Try that one?

... there isn't a blue skirt big enough to be visible out of the sides of the aprons... :/

See, I kind of like Slow's because she's not using an apron and it's different than would be expected.
I don't expect Seiki to change the round because I don't like it, but I know I won't win this. Which is fine. This isn't what I do, and it isn't what I want to do.

That is true. Not too sure about the cookie, but yeah, it's just the revealing part. lol
If I squint the right way, Cami looks like she has a small mustache.

see waaaay back when I first started questing, I had it in my quest thread that I was questing commons that felt like clothing out of Alice in Wonderland, and the outfit that I immediately had in mind for Alice involved this skirt and the blue version of this bustier... and I've always felt that the ayumi skirt is just perfect for alice... if only it came in light blue

@slowtrain:
xD
White works just as well. Because of the rest of the blues, especially the blue leggings, they balance out well.
*rubs head*
How about the White Rabbit cosplay, though? I had to... improvise on the clothings a little.
Boy, am I glad about the new eyes.
@Cami:
What? D:
It must be some Cami-only shop the rest of us undeserving have no access to. *mourns*

I'm not doing anything on Valentine's day, but the day before my fiance and I are driving to the city to have dinner.
After I go shopping.
I have to still find a green dress for St. Pat's.
Finding the right color green is hard. I haven't found anything I'm happy with online.

I hope both of you would have an enjoyable dinner, Keyori. :D
The dinner I would have on that day is the huge obligatory CNY family ones we have every year. lol
And good luck finding your dress! Finding a nice dress in green itself is not easy. x_x

I hope so too! We got a gift card from his dad for christmas, so we figured it'd be a good time to use it. Just... none of the restaurants you can use the card at have a location anywhere near us, so we have to drive two hours to the city xD
So, the whole morning I get to drive all around trying to find a dress, and then in the evening we'll be eating dinner and then driving home.
Unless my aunt calls and recommends a place for me to find one. She works for a tux rental shop, so she has connections with bridal places and can get me a cheap bridesmaids dress if I have to resort to that.

I tried Queen of hearts earlier. But without a lovelipop and such, it looked like a regular red/black avatar. I'm also wondering if we can use our own interpretation. For example for hatter; as we have to use accurate colors, it would be a bit boring, I think?
