 I HATE people who call it Missourah!!! It's Missoureeee! I'm a Kansan at heart, but after moving to Missouri, I've noticed this trend. Missourians do say Missourah! It's so weird.

I got more of the jokes in that one, though I do think it's aimed more towards rural Missouri. XD
Totally this one. <<,,
Or, more likely, There's a tornado warning, so you just keep doing exactly what you were doing before. <<,,, I ignored those warning sirens all the time growing up. Just a few months ago, there was a tornado warning and everyone had to go to the basement of my mom's school, but she didn't want to do that so she drove home. XD
|
 I always ignore tornado sirens unless I can actually SEE a tornado. So many of those sirens are just to tell people that the weather could possibly create a tornado. Possibly.

XD And Roachi, he got that position by running and people voting for him. Also, he's married to a Kennedy, which does wonders in this country.
I also love that your source is the Simpsons. They make fun of absolutely everything. Very trustworthy.

I see.. hmm.. is he a good actor? o:
Cause now I'm curious about checking out his movies.. but don't want to watch them if he's a bad actor. XP
Governor..? o.o And erm.. how high on the politician food chain is that? o:
And how does being married to a Kennedy do wonders in the US? o.o

The Kennedys are like our royal family. It's kind of hard to understand if you don't know American history, but John F. Kennedy was the first really personable president who used television to regularly talk directly to the American public. Had one of the highest popularity rates for US Presidents. His brother did a lot of work with race rights. Both of them were assassinated. Since then, there's sort of been this legend that surrounds all Kennedys, and having any kind of connection to them makes it much easier to run for any political office.
Governor is like the president of a state. So, the highest position within that state. We have 50 governors.
And he's a good enough actor. I mean, he's an action star, so it's a genre kind of thing. He does well within his genre.

Ari, Governors are the head of the particular state that they represent. Think of them as the president of that state.
And it does wonders because of connections. You can have absolutely no political background and get in office because the Kennedy's are a very old political family in the US. He's married to Maria Shriver who's uncle was JFK. Its all about who you know in politics that will get you elected really.
Dang, Cami beat me to it >>
He's done well in comedies as well though. Action isn't his only genre, though he is most famous for it.
Everyone I know jokes that the Kennedy family is cursed on the male line. They all die in accidents or assassinations. Hardly any of them live to be old naturally.

Cora: IT'S SODA. NOT POP.
Sizz, you're supposed to post a "You know you're from KC when..." in this thread so we can read all about barbecue xD
Cami: IN BRENTWOOD AT THE CORNER OF I-170 AND HIGHWAY FOURTAY
There is nothing "pop" about it.
My rice crispies are more pop than soda. At least they snap crackle POP. My soda fizzes.
I'd rather call it fizz than pop.

I see.. but if it's relying on the connections you have when you run for a political office, isn't that kind of cheap of the him to do that? >.>
Interesting.. so the governors for the USA are pretty much like the premiers for Canada.. I get it now. :3
Interesting.. I'll have to make a note to check out some of his movies then.. but later and when I feel like it. XP

Ari: Politics is all about who you know. I could never be a politician just because I don't have the right kind of personality. This can best be demonstrated with a story about a party. D: My roommate is into politics. My roommate and I are having a housewarming party. I have a total of five people I want to invite. My roommate seems to have at least 50. I say, "Only invite your close friends." She says, "I've already narrowed it down to only my closest friends."
Keyori: To be fair, there's nothing soda about it either. XD
God, where I went to school they were always doing this debate of soda or pop. I thought the whole thing was stupid. What does it matter what you call it? But everyone got so obstinate over it. It was like an all out war.

PWND.

I like how on that map the southern states are also the most wrong.
Also, I keep getting Cami and Cora mixed up.
I blame four-letter words that start with C.
