Well you'll have to wait at least another 35 years for that. We've got to pay off the house first

In my experience, most West Coast cities accept either soda or pop as common, we just wouldn't understand "coke" since it would be interpreted as wanting a coca-cola. Honestly, the dialects here are pretty much a mix of other ones across the country and not anything super unique. California seems to have the most distinct "West Coast" accent.

I don't find the california accent any different than the arizona accent. The further north you go in California, I think it gets a bit sharper, but its relatively the same in my opinion.
Ugh, going through the shops to figure out what I'm missing from each store is crazy boring. I'm working on accentuate right now. Only at page 14 DX
Update, Accentuate is going to cost me 40k to complete DX

Oh, I totally bought them all xD I'm slowly working my way though the stores. I will finish them all before my birthday (my goal) xD
I'm sorting through my mule right now to figure out what I should sell to get some more funds. I don't want my pure to drop below 50k if I can help it. I want to make sure I have enough saved for the next event/commons update.

Lordy, Seiki, how much gold do you have? XD
I'm kind of surprised by how many states call it coke. I've never heard that in person.
Keyori: D: Terrible, terrible mistake to make. Cora is my arch nemesis!

I had 97k. Brought it down to 50 on my mule, and whatever I have on my main. I compiled a sales list. Now I need to figure out pricing and update my exchange xD

I was referring more to the stereotypical valley girl and surfer accents, since Washington doesn't seem to have anything equivalent to that. Otherwise most Californians sound pretty much the same as people do around here.

I have difficulty hearing accents unless they're strong. Everyone kind of sounds the same to me.

Aki: It's a US map. XD Find your own Canada one.
I live in Boston now, but both Keyori and I are from the St. Louis area, so border of Missouri and Illinois.

lol @ Arnold Shwarzenegger convo xD;;
Yes, he is a very famous man. Use to be a body builder, then became a really famous actor, and then our governor. It still suprises me. They have started having commercials on TV for California, and he's always at the end of them. Makes me laugh a little. And those commercials are rediculous. They treat Cali like its some place that is warm all year long and you can always go to the beach and its just so much fun. lol We're just a place like any other, but people treat us like we're special. >_>

Western Washington is the only area in the US that literally doesn't have an accent. Everyone speaks American newscaster if English is their first language and they've been there a while. I wonder how long it will be before I pick up some NYC accent and which I'll pick up. *grins*

People always act like they are so warm and nice, but they totally aren't. :x We get that coastal breeze that freezes the place.

I do love me some BBQ! Alas, I cannot eat it right now. But one day again, I sure will. It's damn tasty.
You know you're from Kansas City when
I can't agree with this one unfortunately:

Missouri drivers are aggressive and crazy. Kansas drivers are slow, don't use turn signals half the time and take corners at 5 mph. :/

Actually, the most 'generic' accent is the midwestern accent, mostly the Kansas/Missouri accent. :D I learned this in my psych of language class in college. Midwestern accents are the most generic, so they have all newscasters speak with that accent.

*shrugs* My first major was linguistics, and it was a matter of major study as to why the Westen Washingtion area had no accent, no one could figure out why. I've lived in Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas, all three have accents, even in the cities.

Seriously, it is not possible to say that any location has no accent. XD That's like saying that there's a default way of saying the words, and everyone else has just decided to say them differently for some reason.
"Most generic" I'll believe, but not no accent.

Yeah, I chose the words "most generic" for a reason, because I believe we do have an accent, but it's definitely one of the most generic.

Arkansans have accents for sure. That's getting quite a bit more Southern than midwestern IMO.
Still, I was taught that central midwestern accents are most generic, and I'm gonna stick by that piece of information, although I wouldn't at all be surprised if Western Washington also has a very generic accent.
 Suo, Missouri isn't -that- bad...
