I'm also having trouble over the lion too. :( I know its important to rastafarian ideology but i just feel like it's killing the appearance of the avatar.

Hmm. Does this wrist wrap thing look almost like beads? Like the bead necklaces that they have, but wrapped around his wrist (which they do do)

I'd keep what you have on now. Its noticeable now and if you work it into your description, it would be quite nice.

I think the gumball bracelets would be a closer match, if you want to get beads on your arms. =O

I have to side with Ry on this one. That arm ribbon looks really bulky, especially since it's black and the rest of the avi is so simplistic.

Yeah, black was the only thing that didn't blend in so much that it was noticeable.
And the gumball bracelet is too small. Their necklaces are long with lots of beads, like a rosary, really. :x I may just have to leave it out then.

They still have the same "shape" though.
Personally, not sure I like the gumball bracelets as well. But if it's between the ribbons and the gumball bracelets, I would pick the bracelets. xDD;;

Its not a necessity, and you can't even see it on most of the monk images that I've seen. So not a huge deal. Just thought it might be a nice touch if I could manage it right.

If I was going for a more symbolic look, i'd try to get the lotus to work into it, but none of the items would match into this avi without being obviously out of place. I think I prefer it just being a simple, calm monk.

I think it works just fine without the prayer beads, really.
