But there were only six challenges this cycle. So it was much shorter than usual. And I was working really hard to keep up a schedule so there weren't any big waits or anything in between challenges for the scores to go up and the next challenge to start and all that lame stuff >>

My father burned most of my stuff when I left home.....I took one small bag with me that contained my baby blanket and my grandmother's locket.

I also took a box containing my Nancy Drew books......those where my great grandmother's passed down to my grandmother, who added to the collect, passed to my mother, who also added, and now they are mine and will someday go to one of my daughters.

Its all I have of my childhood.

My dad was the type to keep everything in cardboard boxes he called "time capsules." I looked through one from the 3rd grade a while ago and realized I couldn't care less about most of the stuff in there. xD Plus, I think he wants to keep them, so when I move I'm probably going to leave 90% of my stuff in boxes in the garage.

I'm currently still living with my parents, so my stuff is all around me. :x

And gah. Halfway through reading all the pages to keep up with the convo, I just got a bit too bored, or two tired of reading. lol Either way, I just skipped the last bit. ><;; I've had no energy as of late. Or its all directed to other things.

@Bri- my father wanted.....not sure if he still does, haven't spoken to him in 4 years.....to pretend I never existed. I was the disappointment, the embarressment. I dont really care much about material things anyways. I saved the only things that held sentimental value.

And, to keep on topic, I also still live with my parents like Su. My mom is the type to keep a LOT of things for sentimental value, while my dad is the complete opposite and is always willing to discard old things save for the most important ones. It often leads to arguments between the two of them. ^^;;

But, ever since Typhoon Ketsana last year... my mom has definitely been more willing to give away what really isn't that needed. :x Even I gave up more than half my stuffed toys collection (one of my most prized collections) in order to lend a hand.

Can't believe how much a typhoon and flood can change one's life, noh? ^^;;

Okay, since some of you already know that I'm going to be gone for the weekend, I just wanted to fill the rest of you in on what's going to be happening so that you don't think that I'm ignoring anyone again while I'm away.

On Thursday morning, I'm leaving for Iowa because my friend wants to bring her Jeep home for the summer so that she doesn't have to rely on anyone for transportation like she did last summer because her parents wouldn't let her drive back by herself. So this year, I'm going up there to make her parents happy that she won't be by herself on the trip back because of how long it is. Its roughly 1700 miles from Fayette, IA to Surprise, AZ so we're expecting to space it out into about a two day drive. The goal is to get to Denver on the first day from Fayette, and then work our way back to Surprise from there.

Since she has her last final on Friday, we'll most likely be leaving sometime on Saturday, though we're not entirely sure about when we'll be leaving just yet. It all depends on how long it takes to get her stuff packed into the Jeep that she needs to bring home with her and if we have to get anything into her storage unit that she hasn't had the chance to store yet.

I know that when I get to Iowa, I should have internet for Thursday and Friday while she's in class so I'll be able to come on then, but no guarantees whether or not I'll have internet once we leave until I get home since I got rid of the internet on my phone to save money. If all goes as (I) planned, we should be back by late Sunday night, or early Monday morning. We could be back later than that though, so since the deadline is for Sunday night at midnight, we'll have to wait until I get home to put up the entries unless I can get someone to take care of that for me.

And um.. yeah. That wasn't really explained very well! Sorry about that! But I just wanted to keep you all informed so you don't think I've forgotten you!
