I feel unoriginal now even though I based mine off a strange plant since there's a lot of people using the purple feather item. :(



I tried to represent a Amorphophallus (aka, the corpse flower). Or misshapen penis flower if you want to get technical with it's name. :lol:

I think I'm going to try something else though.

I tried to make mine a kind of cosplay of the flower. The only reason I used the purple ruff was because I wanted to kind of have it fan out like the flower does. Same with the crystals.

And then I tried to show the lines of texture with the skirts. I submitted it already, but I might make some minor tweeks to it if I figure something else out before the deadline to improve it.

With bottom smoke, or without?

I like the second one better.

I'm debating entering or not.

Yeah, it is a cool flower. Wouldn't expect three people to do it, though. Kind of an odd coincidence.

I wanted to go see the giant one that was in bloom in Seattle last year, but I never got around to it. But I imagine seeing/smelling it in person is something to fuel your nightmares. :gonk:

Truthfully, I set out to do a different carrion flower, but I didn't think I could pull it off because it's harder to make your avatar seem like a wide flower versus a tall one.

Yeah, smelling it would probably be no bueno

Supposedly they only bloom every several years, which is why it was a big deal, so I don't know if you'd get the opportunity to see it again, with our without the gas mask. XD

Makes me wonder how these weird plants survive, really.
