lol, I'm pretty sure at least something similar to the corpse flower was on an episode of The Simpsons... it's been ages since I last saw an episode, but my brother used to watch it all the time so I ended up seeing far more than I'd ever want to xD

I'm not sure what to do with the next cycle. There's really not enough people. Unless I did a short cycle. The application deadline was on the 31st, and barely half of the necessary people applied. I don't know whether to extend or close off the applications for now and restart them later in the month? I know the timing was bad because it was end of school for a lot of people and they haven't adjusted yet so..

What do you all think I should do? Should I restart the applications in like a week or something? Middle of June? Or just wait until I have enough apps?

If you restarted in June then you would defiantly have enough people joining and being able to come on and meet all the deadlines~ Unless you find it easier keep it open and then have people keep joining until you have enough to run the contest~ I kinda wanted to be a contestant~ so I'll keep an eye out on the thread on what you plan to do~

I think I'd extend it too Seiki... Wait until at least mid-month, when everyone should be out of school and not tied up with the event. :yes:

I'd enter, but I have a lot going on this summer, so I'm not sure if I'd have time to really put the effort forth.


I just had a fun thought -- Project Mene Champions -- bring back the winners of the cycles so far and pit them against one another. XD /random thought

I don't know if all the champions are even active. I'd have to go back and figure out who won again. I'm going to try and do that anyways because I want them listed on the front page with their entries (if I can find/have them) so people can see their work. But I've thought about that as an idea already. It would be fun. I think it might just be for one challenge though, not an entire cycle.

Or the "All Star" round, so that it doesn't have to be the actual winners if they're no longer active.

And you could have all star themed rounds, like Olympics, Oscars, and Country Music hall of fame.

Does anyone else have problems with Mene loading correctly since they turned the site off for a couple of hours the other day? It loads so poorly for me now, either with missing images or server issues while everything else runs just fine for me.

I haven't had any problems.

If it keeps happening, Seiki, plz to be screenshotting and making a thread with all the info of what browser and what-not you have. I'll try to make sure Inso sees it. (I know he typically looks through those sorts of threads anyway, but it doesn't hurt that I link it to him in his thread.)

I have had similar issue to seiki, but not that often and all i have to do is refresh the page.
