I can't get in to work still. I'm really upset right now. I almost wonder if it would be better to take the day off and just look for a different job.

I think a uhaul center would be a lot different than my job. I take calls all day making reservations. Or at least I should be.

I had a lot of tech issues on my first day of my office job too. They moved me around to four different computers and I spent the majority of the day just sitting around while network guys tried to fix things.

well, i would love to work for home since it will make dealing with summer college so much easier. x.x

So far i probably have about 20 job applications floating about. xD

I applied for an eSales and Reservations job. Its work from home, and the basics is that I take overflow calls that the centers can't keep up with and book reservations, confirm pick up and drop off times, make changes to any reservations if possible, set up storage and payments, and generally help customers with any u-haul related needs. Its not hard, but I've just been having a few issues the past couple of days with getting the programs to work. I managed to get them to work today finally, but not until later in the afternoon, so I will officially be starting tomorrow on my first full day of phone calls.

Cami, that sucks that you had to move around all day. But then again, I kind of love days like that because you're getting paid to do nothing while they fix the problems. Good stuff.

I dont like talking to people for stuff like that. Makes me feel like they're judging me the whole time, which of course they are since thats what they're supposed to be doing. lol Plus, my area has just about no job openings anywhere and I need my car to be running before I can committ to a job.

Wrong again. I tried to sign in this morning at 8 when I was scheduled, and it didn't work. So I got dressed and went into the office in Phoenix to see what was up again, and they basically said that it was a glitch that was only effecting a few of the new hires and that I could either wait it out, or turn in my badge. I'm not going to work for a company that's not going to help me so I quit. I don't really have time to waste sitting around waiting for them to fix the problem when its the most convenient for them.

But I'd been contemplating how long I would work for them anyways. I'm not the kind of person that can really just sit around all day to work. That doesn't feel like working to me. I need actual interaction with people. Phone calls don't work for me. So I'm going to get something to eat, go home and change, and then go look for a new job.

Really, Seiki, I think you should have just kept it. A job is better than no job. You could still look for another while waiting for them to fix it, and just have them notify you when things are working again. That way you can still look for a better job while having that one on the side to at least get some money.

Well, I didn't like just quit quit. I gave a two weeks notice basically. Told them that I can't wait longer than that for them to fix it, but in the mean time I wasn't going to hold my breath so I was going to look for something else. I am still technically employeed with them.

I really want to get my license before I break down on finding one. :x I'd honestly prefer just to get one at the college, but I dont think they're doing summer jobs, but I can try for a semester job. I would love to work in a library. You'd probably never find me in one though. I'd be hiding with a book reading while I'm supposed to be at work xD

Haha. Yeah, its pretty neat. I had a friend that use to work there, and I'd go in and help her out and chat with the workers while I waited for her to get off so that we could head home. It was fun, and its a really simple job. But they usually fill up the jobs quite quickly. :'(

I'm going to take a nap and then clean up the house a little bit then head out for some job hunting. I'm on borrowed time right now, so I've got to make the most of it. But since I didn't sleep well last night (I mostly laid there trying to fall asleep), a nap is in order or I'll fall asleep at the wheel of my car and a job will be the least of my worries xD
