Has anyone ever watched the old supernatural soap opera called Dark Shadows?
In around 2001 Sci-Fi Channel aired it in the morning.

It started in 1966 and ran til 73, I think.
In the begining it was just about this rich family and the (rather random) weird things that happened to them, but then they brought in Barnabas Collins, vampire. =3
And the series took off.
So has anyone ever seen, or at least heard of it?
I never finished watching it and they took it off Sci Fi but now I check the DVDs out from my local library and I'm catching up with it.
So it would be fun to discuss it with others.:cool:

I haven't seen it. I've heard of it, though, and I'm considering seeing it. By the way, do you recognize little Amy and Nora's actress? If so, who is she? (I know it, I'm just quizzing you.)

The only girl child I can think of on the show was named Sarah, I believe.
And i don't know who played her.
Why is it someone who's big now?

The only I know about Dark Shadows is that my mother used to watch it everyday when she came home from school. I remember watching an episode with her, but I have no idea what happened. Old black and white shows aren't really my thing, though the subject matter is interesting to me.

No, she's not big now, but she was after she played Dark Shadows. Amy and Nora were played by Denise Nickerson.

I've never seen Dark Shadows, but my mom talks about it a lot. Especially when I told her that I was reading Twilight and that it had vampires in it. She said she used to watch it every time there was a new episode. I don't think my Grandma liked it too much, but she doesn't like hearing about "supernatural" things like vampires and such. Either way, she let my mom watch it though.

Yeah i think it was a pretty big deal back then.
In the 60s you didn't see too much of that on TV specially not in Daytime television.
I wonder if theyre going thru with the movie?
I love Johnny Depp, but i'm not sure he's very Barnabas Collins ish :?

I really should start watching it. I know my mom hasn't seen it in quite a while. I'm sure she would like to watch a show that she used to watch in her childhood with me. She'd be excited. ^_^
