I don't really have to remember names because I have the bad habit of not giving names. Instead I say something like: Lilith's art teacher walked into the room. I just had forgotten to give them names at the beginning and just continued calling them like that. Plus it adds on to the word count.

I name most of my characters, but one of them won't be given a direct name for most of the story. It's supposed to help hide them. :)
If I have too much trouble though I write myself a note

I like giving names to everyone, of course then I end up sitting there for ten minutes trying to think of a name for a character that's going to be in one chapter. During NaNo, I'm pretty good with remembering names, but if it's a story I've been working on for a long time, then I have to go back and remember. Like, my last novel I worked on, the MC had three sibling and sitting here now...I don't think I can remember any of their names if I tried. :angel:

Lilithlith! LOL. brilliant!
Well, I don't give names for EVERY single person that appears in my story. Like naming the whole citizen of a country, that is madness. XD

But I do like to do character design. I like to design their looks, their personality, their names and everything.

I like to get really indepth with my characters too but I still haven't named any of the teachers though there are 35 of them.

Good luck to everyone participating.
I actually heard about this for the first time just before October so everyone was preparing for it and I was considering having a go, but I've only just started writing seriously again since School work so I'll probably try it next year instead. ^^

I just got to 30k last night. @[email protected] Didn't get anything done this morning but will write some more tonight...
although since I also had bizzare dreams that I got the Avatar spotlight, that the world was attacked by giant Bee/Cicada crossess...and that my mother told me to take a day off from work...that could be a sign that I need to relax at some point. @_X

*laughs* ^_^;; I have really weird dreams at the best of times, but the Bee/Cicadas really took the cake. Fortunately I have two days off next week for Thanksgiving. Although we've got guests coming, I'm realllly looking forward to the long weekend. *kicks back and chills* <3

Well I left off last night at 40700 words, so I can see the finish line from here! How's everyone else doing? :D
And is anyone else planning on using Lulu or the other site to try and get a copy of your book when you're done? :3

Right now I'm at 32400, so I've got some work to do.

You know, now I wish that I had typed the thing so that I could get a copy of it, but at the same time it would be crappy and I'd have the urge to scribble in it, so maybe it's better this way. I don't know.

Thanks Knerd and congrats melody for convincing your husband to write with you next year. :)

The only reason I'm already done is that I did two sprints till almost midnight this weekend, for which I paid with a huge arse headache. X_X
So thats something I hope not to repeat so much next year. ^_^;;;;

Heh, well I stay up to midnight every night, maybe I should spend more of that time writing. :)

I'm caught up again, hit 38.6k last night. I think the thing that's stopping me from getting ahead, is that I'm turning this into a comic so I'm sketching out pages when I reach my quota so I can get ahead with those. I'm doing too much at one time. D:

Yeah that might be helping, I don't think mine would convert as well into a comic, but thats me. ^_^;

Well I wrote mine to be a comic so I really don't think it would make a good novel. :3

Well you never know, I think some things translate well, somethings don't. Walker, my main character, just spends too much time alone to make for much comic. <:3

I see. Comic aren't really good at expressing inner feelings without a whole lot of text, which is kinda what comics are there to avoid.
