What I want to do is to get into design or writing.
As far as a career choice, I'm wandering between interior designer, web designer, or fashion writer, but I'm also wondering if I should go with something more....stable? You know, the economy is so far in the gutter that I'm thinking maybe I should let my dreams go and take on something that's going to be reliable. There'd always be chances to go back to school and do what I love at a later time when its a safer choice. Gabriel keeps telling me that he thinks things will be better once I finish school, and that I should stick with the career I most want, but I'm not sure if he's right, you know? I'm just trying to be practical, I suppose, and its not easy. I've always had a terrible time making my own decisions in the first place. And this is my life and I need to make the best choices for myself, and its very hard for me to do. @[email protected]

Hmm...
If you want, I think you can do something that's both your dream job and a practical job. =O
For example, for me, I picked Journalism over Creative Writing, because while it's still writing, it's more practical, and I can still shift over to my preferred writing style even if I have to go through a more general style of writing in the future. ^^

You could possibly take Architecture if you want something broader than Interior Design? And then just specialize in it? ^^ <3<3
Just some suggestions at the top of my head. xDD;;

I agree that the panic over this thing is getting stupid. Everyone here is scared that they're going to get it, because some people only a little ways away have got it. @[email protected] Like, germ-x is totally sold out and people avoid crowded places. I mean, you should have seen Mexican restaurants when it first broke out. People seemed to think that because it originated in Mexico, that Mexican food should be avoided. It was the stupidest thing. :roll: And the media doesn't help. I think all of them are trying, but they wind up getting the panic worse.
This ring is awesome! I've wanted one for so long. ^^ And to be honest, even with the infection, it hurts less than the fake one I used to have. xD At least its not like someone has a clothespin stuck on my lip, like the fake one felt like. Yeah, when the infection started feeling bad, I called the shop where I got it done and asked the woman if I needed to take it out or anything and she said no, just keep rinsing it and it should clear up on its own. :3
I'm glad you're doing good! ^_^ I think college will be fun for me, but I don't look forward to the chaotic schedule that most of my friends have. xP I definitely need to get better at planning things so that I don't get disorganized and screw everything up. Well, the weekend is coming up, maybe you can get some rest! :hug: Labor day weekend, three days of freedom for my friends who're still in high school and its going to rain all weekend, so we can't go to the falls or anything for the end of summer. Maybe the rain will break though and if the water doesn't get to high...obviously we wouldn't go if it was dangerous to swim, but if it doesn't rain a lot, I think it'll be okay. The pools should still be open, and then we could just go there and not worry about high water at all. ><
That's true. It's always good to look on the bright side of things. Whenever I think something in my life is awful these days, I tell myself that it could be worse, and it usually makes me feel better. =)

...Oh wow, that's REALLY REALLY DUMB. O__O"

I always thought I'd get another piercing that wasn't on my earlobes, but I can't imagine anything that could get caught in food, like tongue or lip ones. XD" I might get a navel one though. It seems like it'd be cool.

Well, college is really only as chaotic as you want to make it. You plan your own class schedule, so if you don't feel up to taking many classes, you don't have to. Or if you're not a morning person, you need not have morning classes. Extracurricular activities are great on paper, but if you can't handle the time commitment, you don't have to do them either. It's a lot of freedom, and you get a lot of choice in what you do with your time. If you can't decide on a major, you can always pick one and change your mind a semester or two later when you've had some of the classes you need for that major. It's really only as good or as bad as you make it, so as long as you keep the lifestyle you want in mind and don't take on more than you can handle, you'll be just fine. I'm always busy because I take harder classes than I have to and I'm involved in a lot of stuff, but you don't have to be as crazy or masochistic as I am. XD"

How were the falls though? Did you end up going?

Yeah! I saw that on a show once. (That sounds so nerdy.) But this guy was visiting ummm I think Thailand? and he met this group who seriously looked and sounded female but weren't. There was a special name for them. I can't imagine that would go over well with your dad, no. It's rather like how I try not to buy yaoi when Im at the store with anyone. >_>;; My family has liberal beliefs like I do, but it doesn't change some things.

Indeed! Although conversely, sometimes game characters HAVE NO BRAIN and you wish they could think like a normal human being.
No one's saying you should, but watching the ones who do cartwheel in 3-inch stilettos is always fun. XD" Really? All the ones I know are really nice. I'm on the Executive Board of a caucus though, so maybe I'm biased. :P Well, I figured, but if you need an excuse to tell your parents why you're going all the way to Michigan, then you'd have to say something like you heard the art department is not bad and the environment is pretty inclusive, right? 8D" I heard the cafeteria food here is better than in many colleges. At least we have actual chefs cooking. :lol:

Oh, indeed. I only buy yaoi and EGL stuff when I'm alone or with friends. Not exactly the kind of thing I want my parents seeing me spend money on. :mrgreen:

True, that. The thing is that, though, that type of character is usually the hero, and it's annoying how I have to keep playing through a great game as a character I can't stand sometimes. :illgetu:

Ahahaha I will admit, that is a pretty talented move to pull off. D: Hmm well again, I live in a bit of an odd place. People tend to be very odd and radical and bickering with eachother constantly as well as being close minded. There will always always be good and bad members of any group.

Haha true true, my brother used to live there I guess. That was quite a long time ago though. My school has fairly good food. We complain, of course, but it could certainly be a lot worse. Only Wednesdays are terrible. Y_Y

I'm not sure I've ever gone to a bookstore with my friends before. *thinks* I suppose though that nearly all my friends are boarders at school or dont even live close at all. So I tend to go places alone or with my parents. I still don't think my parents would think terribly highly of it. Rather I just want to avoid the awkward conversation.

=/ True, true. I STILL haven't finished okami. They're making a version for the DS though and I'm super excited. I need to find mine though.

Sorry I missed your post the first time, Astrelle. :gonk: You're most welcome here. :heart: How are you? =)

Eh, that sounds terrible, Dusty. You'd think the community is small/oppressed enough for its people to be really cohesive, but I guess people will always be people. D:

Oh? What's wrong with Wednesdays? o_O

Aww! Now I want to visit you so we can go shopping for yaoi together. =O ...oh wow, my motivations in life. x_x Butbut! *cuddles* It's not as fun if you don't have someone to squee with you in the shop!!

Oh, really? That sounds great! I mean, I didn't play Okami on the PS2 because I'd have had to draw with the analog stick, and I FAILED at it utterly, but if I use the stylus, I should be able to pull that game off. I always wondered why they didn't just make it for the DS in the first place. XD"

Eh whatever I just keep myself to myself mostly. I don't go out of my way to shove things at other people nor do I back down when they shove things at me. I'll speak what I think, I just don't bother to go and do so. They can have fun and bicker. People are indeed people.

Well on wednesdays the kitchen uses cheap materials (generally, no meat and nothing good) to make a very cheap meal. Supposedly the money saved goes to charities. The idea is wonderful and although I do support giving to charities, I just hate the absolutely horrific food they make. It is possible to make cheap good food, they just fail at it. I think the only austerity meal they make that I like it grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Hmm yeah but you know me. I wasn't even in fandom before you made me go read merlin. I guess I often have conversations about series with friends and such, but it's more common for me to enjoy a series on my own time. That and the only people I know IRL who like yaoi creep me the HELL out. D: I dunno I just feel like there are plenty of wonderful people who like the things I like. But I also think a very high percentage of the people who like manga/yaoi etc. are also emotionally messed up and are difficult to get along with well. Again, the internet is better for connecting with people who are similar to one's self than the limited populations of school or communities. P: It's kind of hard to explain I think.

Haha to be honest the "drawing" on the ps2 one is like "here, draw a vaguely elliptical shape" or "here, draw a straight line" so it wasn't very difficult. I thought it would be impossible to. The DS though, would make it a LOT easier. :D

Is double majoring (that's what they call it, yes? D:) in a design school, maybe I can double in interior design and journalism? Architecture is really TOTALLY not my thing. Well, I mean, it is sort of. >_> I'm completely obsessed with houses' looks inside and attic! And I read the section of the newspaper. I love this. ^_^ that's why I want to get into that field. I thought for a long time that maybe I should get into architecture, but I like the you saved my life! If they had V.A. to fucked me over. =_= If I really had a choice?

Lue:: Nothing gets on this ring. I was surprised though. Lol.

Oi, if I ever have a child, and its a girl, I know what her name is going to be. Kaileigh
And no. It was raining again, so we didn't go anywhere. Alright, Paris it is. No wait, Japan, I wanna go to Japan! Kyoto especially. Its beautiful. ^w^
I haven't told any of the others about it yet. Just you. I...I dreamed about her. The man, who was with me, his face kept changing to different men," I said.
"Who was he changing to?" Rhys asked.
"Well..." I hesitated. But, better now than never. "I thought, at first, that he was the God, with the face of every man and no man. But...."
"Well, I realized that it was only three faces being switched number here. D: I should now this determined, no he'd have escaped long ago. The Goddess speaks to me in dreams, visions. She Tells me things with riddles of a sort. A challenge is alway in real life and I mast just take away his programs? I...I . D: ANyway, I really liked. >< Wtf man??
Kaileigh Rose. o_o She's a beautiful. I....how don't know why did it.

Whoops. Sorry for the prolonged absence again, everyone. I barely have time to eat and sleep these days, let alone forum! D:

@Rylynne
My semester ends in December. I'm not sure if my schedule will improve next semester because most of my current responsibilities are for the whole academic year (2 semesters). Therefore, I can only assume that my life will continue to be insanely nonexistent for the rest of the year.

Also, your current avatar is amazing. *_*

@Elegant Feather Duster
LoL! I am always so amazed at how some of the other people in student government just can't seem to get enough of political discussions like how the organization should be doing things or why we allow groups that have about two members be valid constituencies and how the minority groups always vote in collusion. Like, seriously? Do you people ever just get tired of this job? :sweat:

Oh wow. That's a great move and all, but seriously, a lot of really great food isn't expensive at all. If the only thing you can make decently is grilled cheese and tomato soup, that is such epic failure. o_o

You know, I really don't know about that statement. Most of the people I know who like manga/yaoi/gaming/etc are really cool/fun to talk to, and they make up a huge proportion of my friends circle. But certainly, I can see how the Internet would be an easier way to find people with similar interests that you enjoy talking to. Also, some people just don't do very well in face-to-face communication, so maybe if you met some of the people you really like online in real life first, you might not like them as much as if you had met them online from the start.

The stylus would make it WAAAAYYYYY easier. =D

Also, I have something I am dying to tell you, but it is so NOT PG-13, so I don't think I can tell you here. Therefore, I shall link you to my LJ post on it. In summary, every time I opened my mouth and said something, the entire room just fell completely silent and stared at me. 8DDD

In other news, I just found out that I will not be able to pay you for the PSP till around December! :cry: You have no idea how much that dismays me, but I still owe the university about a thousand dollars, and my paychecks for these few months will be going towards that. However, I do get $300 per month now, so I will definitely be able to get the money to you by mid-December. I'm so sorry for the endless delays, but I really do want it, and I just wish I wasn't having cash flow issues! T____T

@`Kitami
Oh, that's good to know. =3 Aww! I'm sorry you didn't get to go to the falls. I hope you still had a great time though! :heart:

And I don't think your post was meant to be like that..? @[email protected]
