Yeah, they are lacking in the weapons department. Though you can make a 'halberd' looking time weapon out of the syne axe I believe.

I have found the more active you are in places, and the more items you get (commons are fricken awesome to collect, at least I think so) the more fun you have cause you are always dressing up new ways and meeting lots of new people. =)
