I didn't like Spanish; I only took it for like, part of one semester (It was a foreign language class- Spanish, Japanese....French? No...Chinese...eh I don't remember what the other one was. XD) and the Mexican kids would tease the white kids because they knew more Spanish than we did. XD;
But it was boring though..I was like really basic stuff. xD
Like stuff you can get from watching Dora the Explorer.
The Japanese was fun though...we got to do a lot more with it though and it was a lot more extensive.

My Little Ponies were really popular in the 1980s in America. XD They were a toy (and then an animated series) that were basically cute chibi ponies in various unlikely colors, with names that revolved around what strange "birthmark" they had on their rump. XD Like an orange pony with apples called "Applejack".

There were also variations called "flutterponis" (tiny fairy ponies with fairy wings) and sea ponies (which were sort of like sea-horses)... I think that's about it as far as completely different 'species' of these ponies. Except for the ponies with tiny feathery wings that could fly.

And they lived in this totally cute world, apparently without male ponies entirely... And had castles and dream houses. LOL.

::scrounges through grey matter to try to remember more about them:: I didn't really live in the USA during the '80s, though. So I only got to see the movies and one or two episodes of the tv show. But I loved them almost as much as Barbie and Jem and the Holograms. XD

My Little Ponies have got a new surge of popularity recently with pony-mods. Where people repaint the ponies and reroot the hair and so forth. I kinda want to do that someday. XD

Oh... Oh, now that you mention it, I think I may have seen something about it once. Just it never quite caught my interest. My friend showed me something like that, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing. I guess it kinda shows I'm not American, haha. Well, then again, I can't say I fit in terribly well in my country either. :lol:

And I think I might want to learn either Japanese or French someday. I want to travel to both Japan and France, so a bare understanding would probably be necessary, since I really don't want to walk around with my nose in a language book the entire time I'm there. xD;

CK:: I had one my little pony when I was a little girl named Ivy. I remember her....wait, no I had another one named....Sunshine? Maybe. I remember Ivy though. I loved Ivy. She had a hairbrush for her mane and earrings... >w> And a necklace. I think she might have had a tiara too, but I'm kinda stretching my memory at this point. :lol:

I think I have the My Little Pony movies on video somewhere... but I want them on DVD instead. they'll last longer and I wore those tapes out both as a kid and at college. (I didn't get but three tv channels at college, so I brought tapes from home to keep me busy.)

I like them because they're so rottenly cute. But I think I may actually hate the animation now, as I seem to remember thinking they were snotty little do-gooders even 10 years ago. I'd probably be revolted by them now. LOL. ::that's okay. can watch the movies on mute:: :B

There are a lot of things I don't 'get' about even my own culture. XD So no shame in not being interested in something that's popular. :B

DVDs would be nice. xD
Actually I can't stand the new ones, they're even more more pink and sparkly then before. >< (still goody-goody, but I can handle that a lot better.)

They're also shaped differently than they used to be. I don't so much mind pink and sparkly so much as they're no longer chibi! They're more like... stylized I guess. (I can't remember what they look like off-hand, but I think I recall them being more long-legged and skinny.)

It's not that I think they're ugly... the new Ponies... I just liked the chibi look more. >_>;

I remember the flutter ones being the long legged. *that's about it can't remember anything else*

I think the new ones are more neon colored and round. Oh and multicolored. I see alot of multicolored ones lately.

Lol I just thought they were toys when I had mine. I guess that was like in 97 or something since I was probably around 7 when I had mine.

Oh, I think it's just that more people in France can speak English than in Japan, that's all. They may not be too fond of speaking it, but that doesn't mean they won't understand you. Plus, most of the time, they'll start speaking to you in English if you don't manage French very well, since they don't like you butchering their language! XD No offense to the French, of course; I love them; I'm just speaking from personal experience. :lol: A lot of Japanese, on the other hand, aren't very good at English, especially oral English. They may be able to read/write some, but speaking it...well, most of the ones I've met (and I've met many, actually) haven't been very good at that.

-Cough cough- Anyways My Little Ponies, existed everywhere. Usa had alot of Commons everyone recieved including UK. There were variations. Like exclusives everywhere. But USA ponies unless mail order are more common then other international ponies.

CK ~ Slightly wrong there, there are big brother boys and the UK exclusive mountain boys and little brother boys xD I have about 10 vdiff videos i used to watch.
