Your avatar is... Quite unique right now. :o
I like it, but don't like it at the same time. LOL
Oh well, still lovely. How are you? :)

LOLZ, thanks? xDD;;
I know it's not everyone's taste, but I wanted to try something edgier than normal, and this was the result. ^^;;
The scythe's layering and shape with the hair and heels was too appealing for me. 8DD;; Had to figure out how to incorporate it, since you probably know that I do like my unusual and uncommon items most of the time. =P

Also, I'm fine. ^^
Just finished a short essay for class. :3
Now I'm getting started on a group paper that's due Saturday. =P
Doing it now while I have the time. xDD;;

And you? :> <3<3

Your welcome! xDD
The layering is good on your avatar. :yes:

Ahh. Well goodluck with the paper then. xD I was always a nightmare with homework. :)
I'm fine thanks. Glad to have a day off. :)
I went and saw the time travelers wife at the weekend. Now I'm unsure if I want to finish the book. I liked it, but found it really quite sad. Lol.

Thank you very much again then. ^^

And aww, thankies again then~ :3 <3<3
And oh yeah! You have a day off! Awesome. >83
And the book is a little, ermm, weirder than the movie. xDD;; I would cite instances, but I don't wanna spoil you or something if you plan on finishing the book. ^^;;

Lol. Yeah.
I had noticed that/ I'm around about 200 pages into the book. o.o;;
I will finish it I expect. I don't like starting then stopping books. :p

Wow, then you should definitely finish it if you've spent enough time on it to read beyond 200 pages. xDD;;
It'll also be good in that you can compare and contrast the movie and the book that way~ =P <3<3

True, but I hate doing that. I generally hate the films when I've read the books. Lol.

Lolz, really? xDD;;
Some movies end up better than their book counterparts though. =O
For one, it's generally agreed upon (or so I believe) that Neil Gaiman's Stardust was better in movie form than book form. ^^;;
And... I have more examples, but I'm too lazy to think up of more. xDD;;

Well, just from what I've read. I've never read the book Stardust, so I wouldn't know. But I love that film. :XD
I like the lord of the rings films, but I read the books after watching the first one. It depends on the order I watch/read them. xD
I guess everyone is different though. I'm not a big film lover.

They say the book doesn't have a "climatic" and "dramatic" moment. =O
Like, the confrontation at the witches' place didn't happen in the book. >.>;;
At least, not like what happened in the movie, which was pretty, umm, epic, if you will. xDD;;
The book is more monotonous, from what I've heard. =O

And ohh, I don't have enough patience for LotR right now. >.>;; Some parts are too, ermm, taxing to read. xDD;; I do like the films though~ :>

Oh, I see I see. Maybe I'll read it sometime to see.
Lol, understandable. I was 13 when I read LotR's. But I've always prefered that genre of book. xD

Okies then~ :3 I need to read it myself as well. xDD;; No time though. :<

And woah, that's young. =O For LotR, at least. ^^;;
I do want to read it someday though. :>
Right now, I'm focusing on the Chronicles of Narnia instead, which is another classic and probably an easier read. xDD;; <3<3

I usually dislike the movie if I've read the book first, because they never cast the parts with the right people. When I read a book, I see and hear the characters in my mind's eye/ear, so there is usually no way that a movie could ever match that.

If I see the movie first, then when I read the book, I'm seeing and hearing the movie actor.
Which can be good or bad.

That's true. =O
I try to keep an open mind though, since I can't expect people's visions to be the same as mine. xDD;;
It's rather unfair of me to limit how one person should look to my own imagination, I think. ^^;;

And ohh, really? =O
I guess it does have its pros and cons. :x Depends on how accurate the movie person of the book character is then. ^^;; <3<3

Hey!

I also usually like books more than their movie counterparts. I am pretty critical of movies though.
I am usually fine with the character casting for the most part, it's just the lacking plot details that get to me.

I never read or watched Stardust so I can't comment on that. It's not a movie or book that is in my particular interest anyways.

I want to read all of the Chronicles of Narnia someday. I have only read the Magician's Nephew and The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
I don't know if I will ever read LotR though, it is a really long series. I've heard many great things about it though. I have watched all the movies and they were nice but I watched them when I was young (12-14?).

@ Minnie Mouse : Ohh, lack of plot details irks me a lot too! :x I hate it when they cut out parts (even though I know that it's necessary due to time and budget constraints :x), and especially when they add new ones. >.>;; I mean, why add new ones if you're going to cut old ones out? >.>;; It's what irks me the most with the Harry Potter films especially. =\ Then again, they do kind of need to add new scenes in order to justify the final pairings... xDDD;;

@ Jean : No worries, I sucked with that game as well. xDD;; Shame, since I got 2.6k or something in my previous game. >.>;;

Actually of all the movies made from books, I've like the Harry Potter ones best.
They may not be "exactly" like the books, but they've stayed true to the intent of the books.

Oh, I loathed the Harry Potter films. ._. But again that's because I was reading the books when I was like 11. xD

LotR's and HP are probably my favourite childhood books. xD
I tried reading the Chronicles of Narnia not long ago. For some reason I just couldn't get into them. I'll try again eventually though. :)

I have the Narnia books, but I haven't read them in a long time.
I should re-read them.

I've got the Lord of the Rings movies, but I have never found the time to watch them.
I've read the books a couple of times.

I'm in the same boat as you Rose, you and I must be similar age. I've been reading HP since the first book came out.

I also love Robin Mckinley books, and always have xP

@Rylynne: Oh ya cutting out old parts to add in new ones is something I dislike a lot. They go and change the plot slightly just to make it more "entertaining" aka full of big special effects. For the later Harry Potter films I couldn't even remember what the book was like so I couldn't get upset at it. It had been too many years since I had read the book and I don't re-read the book just because the movie is going to come out.

I knew I was going to be seeing the movie, so I went and re-read all the books in the series, because I couldn't remember exactly what happened.
