Speaking of graveyards, my mom and I like to wander around in them and look at tombstones. We were at this big Victorian one a few weeks ago and we were driving around and she saw this stone with her maiden name on it, and she got out to walk over and look at it and she said like "I hope no one gets mad at me for walking on their grave." and there's like this street full of fast food restaurants like at the bottom of the hill by it and right after she said that, some trick of sound or echoes or something caused the cashier from one of the drive through windows to sound like he was right beside my mom. So there was like this really loud, deep voice that was like "YOUR ORDER'S UP MA'AM!" It scared my mom to death cause it was so quiet and then that like came out of nowhere. She jumped like a foot in the air and was like "Jesus Christ!" It was so funny.

lol - that's pretty funny Kitami! There is an old historic grave in Old Town here that has graves under the sidewalk. As the city grew the street had to be widened and parts of the graveyard had to be sacrificed. It's just down the street from a haunted house, too.

OMG!! Gemini, I just looked at your profile and you're in SD!! When you mentioned Old Town, I thought maybe you live there. I lived in the Normal Heights area for a while after I got out of the Navy a million years ago. My sister still lives in Poway, and I have other family members and friends all over the county.
Where I live, there are a lot of old areas where there were Native American settlements. One year, I worked at a field site at this guy's property, and there was a community that lived there off and on for several decades a few hundred years ago. We could find areas where they dumped trash and could see how they had to move as the streams would shift. We also have a small Confederate cemetery and the center of town features a fairly huge municipal one. Where I'd grown up in S. Cal., most of the cemetaries were behind huge fences - not like that here. There are cemetaries at most of the churches along with a couple of public ones. Lots of old mills and mill villages. I saw one in northern GA that was quite creepy.

there are some really cool houses that are abandoned and rumored that they are haunted.
I would like to check them out some time and maybe bring my camera with me

There's a ghost hunting society in town, but the people who are in it are extremely creepy - and I don't mean in an eccentric, fun way - I mean that they are people I wouldn't trust around my kids creepy.

They are very weird - again, not in a good way. They will not allow people to join if they let family life interfere with investigations, you can't wear any jewelry or mention names at sites because they think that ghosts will go home with them. Then, there is the downright creep factor. A friend of mine looked into them, and I know of their reputation because they used to be officially attached to my old university - there used to be a paranormal psych department there.

They sound like the kind of people I'd mess with then again I'd mess with the really Christian people who live on an island in the sea.

I'll give the super Christians one thing at least they're on an island all to themselves. So I shall leave them alone seeing as they leave us alone.

Thats interesting Christa... I sometimes glance at other peoples tombstones to read the dates and names... Its always sad when you come upon a grave of a child.
Did everyone have a nice Memorial day weekend? ^^ I had lots of fun...

Its been a really good weekend for me, HIM...
It was one of my friends b-days yesterday so we had a good time...
and the night before that was the pre-b-day party. lol. So I got soo drunk that day that I couldn't drink yesterday cuz I didn't want a hangover.
Today something unexpected and sad happened... I just found out that one of my other friend's moms died on a freak motor scooter accident... so thats a downer.
