Storms like that totally freak me out since in Cali we don't really have such extreme weather. Luckily, I had my hubby and kid with me so I didn't feel quite so freaked out. After awhile the rain was soothing.

Wicca is an earth based religion. Supernatural stuff can happen no matter what religion you are in - angels, spirits, ghosts, fairys, gnomes, etc. Depending on what religion you believe in (if you indeed are part of a religion) may depend on what you believe exists. Being Wiccan, however, I'm sure you are far more open to the possibilities than the majority.
The spellbook for your b-day sounds awesome! Have you looked through it, yet? Anything especially interesting you can share?
Edit:
Thanks for the compliments. Some of the stuff came out during the spring with a bunch of farming based stuff. The hat, tights, and belt I bought to go with.

Cool Gemini, how do you like Colorado? ^^ My grandparents live there... So I've been there a few times. Its gorgeous. I love the lakes the most! And the whacked out weather. One minute it'll be like 90 degrees and than suddenly lightning and snow will hit! wham~ lol.
I like freaky weather though... you're right, very rare in cali.
So any luck seeing any ufos?
Haha yes sunshine. XD I think thats becuz when I walk around I'll be staring at the sky most of the time... which is kinda hazardous. I do trip a lot. lol. And also, most nights I stay up until 2am staring at the stars... I'm OBSESSED with star gazing and watching meteor showers. Space is my life. Life is my space. Maybe I should be an astronaut. heh.
Bummer, Guivre.... You should go camping sometime out of Chicago... that way you're away from the city lights so you can finally see something! ^^ I like to camp... do you?
Umm, I think so rain! I mean if you think about it wicca is all magic type stuff... So that sounds paranormal to me, especially if you're making potions or spells. *nod*
Cool how do you like the spellbook?
Hey Pukes! how are you? 8) Cool, I've never seen that show before... whats it about?

Good idea, Gemini. It is beautiful, but you have to get used to the elevation and all...
And the moose. They can be mean. lol.

No Moose but the elevation thing did get to me. We got in 2:30am this morning. I had to get up again at 6 'cause the dogs needed a potty break and then my kid woke up...so I guess I'm up. The trip home was safe although we did encounter lots of rain and construction zones which slowed us up.
Happy 4th of July!!!

Hello T star! Hows you? i've had some interesting things happen to me too, my elementary school was haunted and i lived beside a graveyard where 2 of my friends were buried. Somethings I'd see them in my dreams, and after that i began sitting in the graveyard to keep them company... it is weird, but i moved from there! T_T

Aww bummer sunshine. I really like rain... Yea driving in rain is no fun. I'd be too scared to drive in snow...
Yea, Happy 4th to you too Gemini. I'm not a big patriot... but any holiday can be fun.
I really love colorado, especially the wild weather and beautiful forests and lakes. I almost got attacked by a moose once when I was picking berries... he was like jumping on the bushes and almost jumped on me. >< After that I didn't wander outside by myself.
With all the elevation I heard people age slower... Don't know how true that is tho.
Hey Fox! Woah, thats so trippy about your elementary school... Did anyone see or hear the ghost? Thats so sad about your friends... I wouldn't want to live near a graveyard. ><
I do believe that after someone passes away there spirit lingers for a little while...

Fox - you must be a good friend to do that for them.
Starry - can make you age slower? Maybe I'll move there afterall! ;P We weren't high enough for moose but lots of antelope.

I'm not sure, Gemini... I mean there's this whole cell process with aging... And than after a certain age the cells start to deteriorate... But genetic scientists have been looking for the answer to stop the alarm clock in our cells from going off... Which essentially is what kills most people, aged cells. I think higher elevation might make your skin age slower, but ultimately doesn't change much. Its funny though... My dad was raised in colorado and he didn't hit puberty until he was almost 25... don't know if that has anything to do with it or what. *shrugs* I tease him about that all the time. XD
Cool I love antelope!

When I was younger I wanted to be reincarnated into a pronghorn antelope. D= It's not really an antelope, but still ...
That's interesting about elevation and aging. It would explain a lot about all those communities they find where they have large (in proportion) communities of centigenarians, a lot of them are in mountainous areas. My dad would always talk about when his grandmother (in her 80s) would get all excited when her mother was coming over (in her 100s) it sounded incredibly cute.
The Fourth is actually my favorite holiday. I never liked the christian ones, being atheistic. New Year's would be my favorite if it didn't happen to be in the middle of winter, I think.

@gemini: I know... XD And now I tease him all the time. He'll never live it down...
You're probably right, like I didn't hit puberty until I was 16... almost 17.
I got teased a lot too... ><
@guivre: Haha thats so random! Only problem is antelopes get hunted a lot...
*nod* Yea and like the oldest person alive lived in the Netherlands on a mountain, I believe... He lived to be like 130 or something. Insane. Also, I think there's lots of minerals in the lakes and springs in mountain communities.
I really like New yrs... I always party like mad, but I hate the day after cuz I always have a really bad hangover.

Yeah, I'm not sure what really attracted me to pronghorn antelope, they're not even that cute.
John Robbins wrote a book about those communities, now that I think about it, Healthy at 100. I remember a lot of the original research because it had to do with yogurt, and Bulgarians invented yogurt. (It might seem strange, that they did because they're in Europe and yogurt is used in India and such, but the original Bulgarians came from central asia and stopped off places along the way. And founded places like uh, Balkaria.

Wow, thats really amazing about the Bulgarians... And yogurt is very good for you.
I try to eat a lot of yogurt... Because it has good germs in it that is good for your stomach. I'm not surprised that yogurt was first made in Asia, it seems like they're always fermenting and germinating stuff.
