I was just watching Halloweentown, and I think that it would have to be my favorite Halloween special. Right up next to the Charlie Brown one. I just like sitting at home and watching them.

So what's your favorite halloween special?

I love the disney movies "Hocus Pocus" and "The Littlest Vampire". I don't usually watch much television, but each halloween, they take time to play those movies on Disney channel and I try to watch them. They're so funny and cute. xD

Halloweentown and Halloweentown 2 are my favorites. The later movies in the series suck though.

Hmm halloween specials. Well i just love the sudden burst of hunted stories and really cool ghost story shows that seem to suddenly appear. ^^
plus.. well black and orange is such a fun color to see on tv.
Though i must agree halloween town 1 has to be one of the better movies disney made. ^^

@ Queen Fool...yah, Halloween town 3 (which doesn't ever include haloweentown) and halloweentown 4....were 'kinda bad.

I like alot of different Halloween movies because all the classic horror movies use to be Halloween based.

I love the entire halloween town series theres what 4 now i think lol i own 3 and it feels i'm missing one so i'd assume theres 4 lol because of the gap between the ones i own

oh also because of my love of magic and witches and stuff like that i've also kinda enjoyed the new twitches movies, though must admit the books were way better

@ EE, the fourth one is when Marnie goes off to witch university.

I love Hocus Pocus and every year have to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". Those two are my favorites and then I have to play Thriller *the music video* since that's a big tradition.
A less than known one is I play Kiki's Delivery Service the night before Halloween because it's one of my favorite Miyazaki movies and fits the mood fairly well. I can't wait to watch those now. >w<

I think Halloween based episodes/movies are the best kind of holiday themed media.
I can't pick anything specific, as it's not that big of a deal over here in Aus (for the most part.)
But i'd have to agree with the above, Kiki's Delivery Service & Disney are the better in my opinion. C:

i think anything out of the ordinary is technically a good halloween flick
horror
magic
fantasy
things that normally can catch your eye while channel flicking because its uncommon
thats whats so great about halloween
the fact that nothing is at it seems
alice in wonderland like world for a few hours
it makes the impossible possible and the limits are endless
truly the best holiday for any who feel often less "normal" then the crowd they see everyday

I like any horror movie. And in Halloween I can enjoy most of them.

hm, I'd have to say Casper probably, I'm not a big fan of halloween movies...

I guess some of the halloweentown movies. only a few of them.

My favorite halloween speacial would have to be Hocus Pocus. I really like that movie!

My 2 favorite family genre halloween shows are 'when good ghouls go bad' and all the Halloweentown movies. Hocus Pocus was awesome too.

I'd have to say Scray Godmother one and two, I know they are kinda childish, but they are so cute and funny that I just can't help but sit there and want to watch them, nor hate whne I miss them or have to do something while ion the middle of watching them lol

it was big back in the 90's and i remember everyone wanted to be witches after they saw it... calling the corners and lighting candles and stuff... oh yea and playing 'light as a feather, stiff as a board'... (i wonder if that really works?) but watching it now, it seems to have a really high 'cheese factor' haha but it's all in good fun...

I'll always be a sucker for The Nightmare before Christmas and Hocus Pocus. Something about the singing I guess.

The Halloween specials that I love is "Hocus Pocus", all of the Halloween Town movies, and when I was younger, the Halloween Spuctacular ones.

Hocus Pocus would have to be in the top 5. I like to watch Goosebumps from time to time. Looney Tune Halloween stuff. Just what ever's on really

This will make me feel really old lol but I remember my favorite Halloween special was a Disney special on all of the evil villains in Disney and they showed a bunch of old halloween cartoons like the dancing Skeletons. Its announcer was a talking pumkin lol
