Haha, hoorah for mystery-solving, and for an actual newcomer! Glad to see you here, Alexxxiel! :D

Lostin: Molto bene! I took Italian for a few years, it's a fantastic language. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I wouldn't mind learning Japanese past the few phrases I know.

I took a course of Latin in college but I couldn't continue it because I was graduating. It was alright, though I prefer learning languages that are in use, since you can go to the country and be surrounded by it.. the best way to learn a language.

Japanese is great, I really want to pick it up again. And it wasn't as difficult as I thought it'd be! Before I took a course in it, I used this site to learn some basic things and thought it was pretty good, it's got free beginner's lessons. :)

I have a friend who's learning Latin, it's useful to her because she studies Linguistics and seems to prefer learning about English than her own language (Swedish). XD

Aww, but Swedish is so adorable. xD I understand it fairly well, but I wish I could speak it. Then again, I wish I could speak pretty much all languages. If only I didn't need to sleep, I would use that time to learn them all...

@KatMagenta
Strange, I have a friend that also, prefers learning English and speaking it rather than their native Swedish.
aside the latin bit. XD

I just want to learn Latin to say things nearly anyone else wont understand. ahh the joy of being anti social....

@Ljos and I Agree that Swedish is adorable. whenever I get my friend to speak it makes me squeal with glee from the pleasure it rings to my ears.

I am not wired at all. *shifty eyes*

Swedish is so sing-song-y.. that's why I love listening to people fight in Swedish. xD Yeah, I'm not weird at all either...

Tooth and Claw is aaaawesome. One of my top favourite episodes. "It's not amusing, is it, your Majesty?"

Wasn't it "out and about"? :P But yes. Rose fails at Scottish. Poor wee lass.

Exactly. xD
Tennant's Scottish was definitely a big plus for that episode. The whole language thing confuses me sometimes with Doctor Who though.. the TARDIS apparently is supposed to translate everything for the passengers, but it doesn't work for dialects? Also, I'm sure there have been a couple of times when a companion meets an alien race and they don't understand them.. I can't remember exactly when though.

Taiyo: R. Dorothy Wayneright from The Big O. My cosplay isn't very good but I am fond of the animé.

Doesn't when Donna tries a different accent or language instead of English the people think she's speaking a completely different language from themselves? I may be making this up.

She tried something like that in Fires of Pompeii. Too bad she had no idea they were still in England...in the Roman era!

Yeah, Donna said "Veni, vidi, vici" to a Roman and he thought she was speaking Welsh.
