I watched Sherlock. I thought it was pretty good, but that might have something to do with my attraction to both Sherlock and Watson. >.> I liked the style of the filming and production though.. I'm going to have to watch a couple more episodes till I can say what I think of the writing though. The first one kind of disappointed me, but I'm hoping it won't do that again.
Why disappointment?X
I was really hoping the answer to how he did it would be something really mind-blowingly amazing, as he kept implying, but then it was just really simple. I dunno, I was hoping for hypnotism or something.. or at the very least something like my friend suggested, that the cab driver was immune to the poison and they were actually perfectly identical. But no, he just held a gun to their faces and ordered them to eat a pill. Random victims. Meh. :/
On a completely different point.. I don't want to sound harsh or anything, but it's a bit boring reading over the thread and so many posts are just an announcement that the user is online. Could I maybe ask people to start a discussion or make a remark on other people's posts or something more than just a "Hello I'm here"? Nothing personal to anyone, and the discussion doesn't have to be DW related even. Just whatever's on your minds. (:
I'm too easily swept away by pretty boys with cheekbones, black humour and coats flapping in the wind to be bothered about this plot thing. The ending of A Study in Scarlet is a lot more satisfying (other than Holmes and Watson not giggling and nobody gets a blanket).
Aww, I don't have enough family to warrant an event. Hope yours isn't too bad though Taiyo.
ljos: I agree with you about the ending of Sherlock. Coming from anyone else, I wouldn't have been nearly as disappointed. But coming from Steven Moffat, well..... that's a different story. haha.
I am oddly not attracted to Sherlock (I thought I would be!) but the fact that they cast someone with a deep voice is, at least, consoling. You cannot have a Sherlock Holmes without a deep voice. YOU JUST CAN'T, I TELL YOU!! :illgetu:
Watson has quite a cute smile, though. :)
And oh, look what I found!! :D

A new series on BBC One, yes. And it's set in modern times. Which is great, cuz it allows for so many of those plot twists Steven Moffat loves to throw in. :D
As his wiki article says he was probably best known for playing the young Stephen Hawking in Hawking, I remember there being a lot of critical acclaim for it.
Look what I made on cheezburger.com! (clicky!)
There is an actual petition out there to have DT carry the Olympic Flame for the 2012 London Olympics, as seen in "Fear Her". haha :XD
