According to wikipedia, Amy is 19. I never caught an age on Rose. I did skim due to laziness, though.

XD Lol yeah I thought Amy was that age. I can accept her running off though, im pretty sure Rory knew that would happen if the Doctor were ever real. Doesn't make it any less right, but better than what Rose did.

Yeah, ethically, it aint right, but Rose was still a more tolerable companion to the Doctor. That's just me, though.

I think I remember it being mentioned that Rose was about 19 or 20.

I think Amy's worse. She was engaged to Rory. You get the impression from the first episode (before Rose even meets the doctor) that things with Mickey are casual and not very serious.

I haven't finished the season yet so we'll see how much I like amy by the end of it.

Amy's really growing on me, but the way she treats Rory is still keeping me from truly being able to admire her character. *shrugs* Hopefully she'll be more committed to him in the next series, because I can't take any more of this ridiculous love triangle.

And I agree with Cherry-- I mean, Rose wasn't engaged to Mickey, and she certainly wasn't his wife. Amy has been both, and still makes remarks like "You most certainly may kiss the bride". Yuck. Grow up.

Hopefully either she'll be more committed, or Rory will realise he needs to leave her. I mean, we have seen a few instances where we see that Amy truly does care about Rory (I'm not going to mention any since that would spoil parts of the series), and I guess Rory probably wouldn't like her if Amy wasn't as Amy is. She is definitely more immature than Rose though, even if they are supposed to be the same age when they start travelling with the Doctor.

And I do think Amy also has more extra time with the Doctor, for example you see in the last episodes (not spoiling anything important) glimpses of them going somewhere we haven't seen them go, just like you did occasionally see similar glimpses with him and Rose. I dunno, I like Amy more than Rose, because I just never got on properly with Rose. Donna is still my favourite though.. I guess I just like sassy redheads.

Donna's my favorite too! Some people found her annoying, but I didn't think she was, she just said what she thought instead of sitting there watching. I could relate to her, too, which seems to be rare in the companions.

So! David Tennant is engaged! To the daughter of the 5th Doctor. But... wait... it's going to get creepy. Who is the daughter of the 5th Doctor?

Huh, they're engaged? I never follow celebrity gossip, but that does make a very funny relation, at least to Doctor Who fans.. daughter of the 5th Doctor, and the 10th.. and about to marry the 10th as well!

Pearl - Unless we kill Georgia Moffett.

I agree that it is silly about her relations to the series, but at the same time I think it's kind of cute that they're getting married. :P

Yeah, kind of cute. Or kind of daddy issues, I don't really know. oO

But then again, when you look at the IMDB (or wikipedia, whichever you prefer) for most English actors... it seems that having some tie to Doctor Who is impossible. It's like Kevin Bacon, except instead of 6 degrees, it's more like... 2. Everyone has been in Doctor, and acted alongside other people in non-'Who roles who were also in Doctor Who at a different time (and may also be related to or married to someone who is related to a Doctor).
Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, not everyone is, obviously, but every time I start browsing something about an English actor, low and behold... Who tie-in.

I wonder, will their kids be Time Lords?

*shrug* It just seems like a Patterson and what's-her-face (Edward and Bella) situation. Meet on set, get to know each other, grow to like each other, get married. I'm sure they'd be good about distancing themselves from their on set roles. I know that patterson's and whats-her-face's roles were lovers to begin with, but, like I said, I'm sure that Tennant and Moffett are more than capable of letting themselves be with each other despite their roles with Doctor Who.

Let's just hope it's not like US celebrity marriges. A different partner every two or three years. Blech.

AWWWWWWW.

But wait, isn't that story from The Sun, and isn't The Sun a British tabloid?
Check out this article here: David Tennant Engaged?

Half - Hmm, good point. Well, either way, they're definitely together. And once you get past the "Ew, but it's Jenny" part, they're actually a pretty adorable couple.

Aww. Just... the way he's looking at her. Awww.

I just saw people talking about Tennant getting engaged to 'Georgia' and it took me forever to draw the connection. I'm happy for them although I didn't realise Georgia had a son. Imagine if your dad and your granddad were the Doctor!

Ooh, I just watched all the clips from Survival... reminds me I have a few Seventh Doctor audio productions to listen to.

Yes, she has an 8 year old son. I saw it in the Telegraph article which is hopefully a better source for the doubters too. XD
