And that's a very pretty copy of Brideshead Revisited indeed. Mmm, old books.
Wow, when did they do that event? I agree, everything needs to be more sonic. 8D I was just watching The Doctor Dances with my little brother, I laughed so hard at the "Sonic what?" "It's sonic, okay!?" fight Jack and the Doctor had. I'd forgotten about it completely. xD
Chai, yes please! I has missed you, we need to hang out when I get back. My flight's booked for 15th of September, I'll probably try to get a train your way sometime late September, ja? : D
Edit: okay, I just had a look at that science camp and one of the first threads I noticed was a thread where this guy is offering girls 2k gold if they take a picture of a sign with his name and their feet.
I think I will take another few months before risking a peek at Gaia again.

The Gaia event is the 12-19th but it's so boring. You have to have a 'prank battle' with people but they last forever. I don't want to talk to anyone... especially if they want to see my feet. At least wanting to see girls holding signs with low cut tops is (slightly pervy but) normal. :lol:
The Doctor Dances taught me that bananas are good. Yay potassium!

Yay potassium indeed!
::holds up a banana from the bunches Mom got today::
One bunch is getting chopped up and frozen, so I can make it into smoothies on Friday.
The other is sitting on the counter to ripen a bit more.

Dried bananas make me sick, I have to pick them out of cereal. I had to throw most of a real banana away today because it had gone black at the bottom. All that wasted potassium!

Wow. The PBS I get has Doctor Who, as did SciFi when we still had cable--course, the only reason I watched that was for the anime festival! And Star Trek...and some other show that took place in modern-day Chicago--the main character was a mage!
Tho' the only partner I've seen the Doctor with is Martha...I like her. I've heard about other partners, but the only one I've seen is Martha.
I'm waiting for Doctor Who bloopers! They ougtta be funny!

I like dried bananas a lot, normal bananas are pretty good too. I do have a couple of friends who really hate bananas though, one up to the point that she gags at the slightest smell of it. I don't get it, but I try my best not to eat them around them. xD

@ljos- I'm one of the people who gags at bananas. Lol. I don't really get it either, i just do. >.>;
@Witty- You can only stand them dried? Weird.
I can't eat dried fruits, because they might cause an asthma attack. ;3;

Today I saw an advert for a show called 'Framed' which I didn't really understand much of but it had Eve Myles in it. It has something to do with art and at one point they were in a mine/cave.
There was a clip on You Have Been Watching where a man on one of the Christian channels in America was explaining how the banana proved the existence of God. Very unintentionally funny.

If you like Dr Who what about Torchwood? I've been a Dr. Who fan since the 80's we watched it every weeknight on PBS I started watching Tom Baker and got to see Troughton and Pertwee episodes.
I have autographs from 5 of the first six doctors and I even drove Colin Baker in my van when he was a guest at our convention.
I also have Anthony Ainley's autogarph ( the second master) and he kissed me.

Hallo Saiyana.
It sounds like it used to be a lot easier to watch Doctor Who outside of the UK than it is now! Lucky you meeting all those Who-folk too.
+ If anyone has BBC3, there's a show about Doctor Who on tonight. I think it's just clips from the new series and interviews with some of the cast but tonight's episode is about the Doctor himself.

Apparently my friend from NY told me there's a rumor that the Doctor may be able to unlock whatever it is that kept him from going into the past to revisit Gallifrey.
But.. wasn't it destroyed?

Gallifrey (along with Skaro and a whole other bunch of unfortunate planets) was destroyed during the Time War but to stop anyone going back and meddling a time-lock was put in place.
(link is to TARDIS wikia, who can explain better than me but includes series four spoilers)

The way I understand it because of how the time war ended it removed Skaros, Gallifery, the Daleks and the Timelords completely from the time line. But since the Daleks managed to break through I'm sure the Timelords could so the same. The question is would they? After all their whole purpose was to main tain the proper flow of time and prevent other races from meddling and muddling it up.

Saiyana, wahh, lucky! :D And welcome to the thread! We do talk about Torchwood every now and then, everything Doctor Who related in any way is welcome.. as well as pretty much anything else. Though we usually manage to stick to Doctor Who.
And I understand the Time War timeline Gallifrey thing the same as Saiyana. I don't think I would like it if he did manage to go back to Gallifrey, it's something he's been fighting doing since the war and it's just.. I dunno, it's just a Deus ex machina thing and I wouldn't like it.
